When I Went last year to see my gyn about it he just said that its a infected node probably from shaving. If it keeps bothering me we can do surgery and remove it.. So I let it go and of course everytime I shave Its hurts for about a week. Its sore again. But the lump never goes away. Hasnt for the past year. Its embarrassing, I cannot wear tank tops because its huge looks like fatty skin. My question is... I wonder now, if he was right, could it be something more serious than just infection since it doesnt go away. I have a dr appt monday but My left breast hurts for the past three days like its bruised. And my armpit just is getting over being sore again. What could it be... Im getting pretty scared now.

If it has not gotten any bigger don't worry to much. You did the right thing in making the Doctor appointment. Try not to think about it and Good Luck on Monday!

GO to your Dr. or another one. I am not a doctor and don't want to give you false info, but I had a similar problem, found out it was fibroid cystic breast tissue. I had sore breast and a few lump, but I got a biopsy done to make sure. It can be scary but it's something you shouldn't wait on!! Take someone with you for support. Good LUCK!!!!!

google "hidradenitis superativa". Most doctors are clueless about this condition. If you think thats what it is, don't let the docs talk you into taking antibiotics. It will only make matters worse. It is likely caused from an undiagnosed food allergy. I had a really bad case of it, on my groin, armpits, and breasts. When I gave up wheat, soy, eggs, dairy, etc. it all cleared up, as well as several other health issues. I only flare if I cheat on my diet

I would definitely see a specialist and have the thing biopsied and put to rest the question! The doctor could be right but then they've been known to misdiagnose too!

an infection does not last longer then a year you need to go see a medical DR and have it looked at and xrayed if needed it could be a cyst and may have to be removed

Or it ought to be so common as a clogged pore, like an ingrown hair, i could say to get it regarded at if it gets better or if its unlikely away in a pair days.

I'm not sure altogether. But you need a different doctor, one who is competent and won't brush off your concerns! A year is far too long to have a 'lump'.

I can understand why you are frightened but no one can tell you what it is at a distance. Try to calm yourself, do whatever you usually do to relax. It is probably nothing
