Me and this girl split up around a year ago, i thought she's just a memory at the back of my mind, but somehow, there's a few songs that when i hear them, i think of her. I'm pretty sure i dont have any more feelings for her and we havent seen each other since the break up. Why does this happen? please advise

it just makes me feel guilty that she occupies my thoughts more than anyone i'm with at the moment... no we were only together for 3-4 months, she affected me most

Memories are like little pieces of computer chips. There will always be things that will trigger the chips - that's OK - as long as you DO NOT allow the FEELING or emotion FROM THE PAST to come up with the memory. The PAST is the past - there are many people out there that cannot or will not let the past go - they get emotional and let their memories screw up their vision for today, making a decent future impossible. If you start FEELING things of the past too much, best to get some counseling. That can really cause major problems.

because you and her were together before, however you split up or still together or not but whatever you and her had done together that it made the big memory to remind you that she is not the other person, that you will ignore. i meant you was your love one before but now she is not with you in real i will say you still love her, and you are still thinking of her.. by using the past time to remind you that you and her were having the wonderful time.. that you could not be forget.
not many people they got split up and they don't love each other any more.. i split up with my boyfriend with the important reason because abot culture... we love each othe so much but we can not do anything part from leaved each other, he left me in the end i cry for 4 months.. we are hurt.. i know he never forget me.. i know he remember me.. but i don't know why it hurt because only this reason

Trisha Yearwood has a song called "The Song Remembers When". You see a song will remind you of someone who you were dating at the time the song was first popular. Some songs will remind you of family members and of your childhood. It doesn't mean that you have feelings for your ex anymore it just means that you remember sharing time with her during the time that song was released.

Sometimes when you had something good going for a while, it's hard to forget. The only thing I can tell you is that it will be hard for awhile. Talk to someone youre close to about it because it isnt good to ceep it bottled up inside.

It's normal, they are your memories you will always have them, even when you are old. It must be a lovely memory for you to have it. So just enjoy it, it's better than having bad memories. When you are old, you will have all these and others to remember about.

it's because once you truly and deeply care and love for a person, you will never completely forget that person. it's impossible to erase a memory completely. even if you're long over her, you will never forget her. it might also mean that you still have some tiny feelings for her. it's natural to feel that way. after all, you once loved her.

probably b/c you love her (or loved her). your always going to have a piece of that person in your heart so you can never really forget someone you can just move on...sounds like you've done that but if you don't have someone new to occupy your thoughts then she will.

Maybe you just have good memorys of her and your relationship. Even though you not particularly have any feelings for her you still just have good memorys.

You may be in LOVE. There was probably something special about her. Maybe you should call her. If you can't get someone out of your head, maybe they are supposed to be there. Try It Out! Best of Luck!
