It is not WHAT she took. It is that she should not enter your room without asking you. Your room , as well as hers, is a private place and everybody must respect that so that this roomate thing can work! You must make this clear.

Without asking, no. I would suggest you take the paper towels out of your room if this is a continuing problem.

No it's not ok for the roomate to just tak estuff from your room that is a major invasion of privacy. They should ask or go to the store an buy their own.

paper towels seem like they'd be ok to take without asking. I mean, unless you're real protective over your towels, I'd just let it go. Now, if you're roommate borrowed something like you're iPod without asking, then I would get a little angry.

how did you know a few paper towels were missing? do you mark them? sounds like you and your roommate are at odds with each other. since you are nitpicking about something as trival as paper towels. may be time for a new roommate...one where you don't have to write your name on each papertowel...

you need to show on your roommate your proclivities. My bf is a entire nudist at abode and people only might desire to handle it. If we are having a night meal or some thing, he'd be dressed yet only sitting around? Yeah, bare. the people all of us understand might desire to care much less and in many cases strip down interior the abode too.

like everyone is saying it depends on how well you know her but if you have to ask this question, you do not trust her. from my experience in college ... get a lock pronto! you may think someone is pretty cool and down to earth with morals to shine on, however. when you start missing cd's, clothes, mp3 players, sweet headphones for you guitar, and your leather office chair ... you will have wished the lock was doing its job. its sad to say but dont ever trust anyone until they've earned it.

You might want to have a discussion in which you lay out some ground rules. If everyone understands the boundaries, there will be fewer annoying incidents.

She should not go in your room at all without being invited. Get a door lock ASAP. How well do you know her? What happens if you're missing some jewelry one day?

NO. Unless you guys are friends and your door was open. Otherwise, tell her to buy her own damn paper towels.
