what to do.. i reall love him and when he is around me i can tell in hes eyes theres loss, but if i talk about it he is quite blunt.
hes not ready to me mates i think he is really hurt..well not as bad as me. but he cant get close to me again not even as a mate and it was last year... but when he is drunk hes always like"i really like you" ect ect... what to do??????

If he tells you he loves you when he is sober, stay on & help him solve the drinking problem. Whatever he says in his drunken state shouldn't count.

Next time he sends you a text when drunk just text back 'why are you telling me this?' or 'Do you want to come over and talk?' That will give him the oppportunity to either explain more about what he wants/feels or back off. You need to address this though. Sounds like he still has feelings for you but has been very hurt. Just be caring towards him and let it go at his pace.

I have been in this situation and i am still with the guy. There is not much you can do about his drinking and the situation. I see the same look in my boyfriends eyes and when he tells me he loves me etc. He proberbly still loves and cares for you but how can he care for you when he is really only thinking of himself. It sounds harsh. Maybe he is an alcoholic.
Alcoholics really only think of themselves and find it hard or dont have the capacity to love anyone but themselves.
How do i know, i am a recovering alcoholic and my boyfriend still drinks. Good luck sweetie.

He tells you that he still "likes you" but you "love him" - there is a fundamental difference there my darling. It is really hard, because you are so attached to him, but you need to move on!
I was in the same situation last year with my ex, and in fact when he is drunk now he will still text/call me with his devotions, but I am away from him now. It took a long time for me to realise that I loved what I imagined him to be, the person I imagined him to be. And not who he actually is. It's so hard, but once you admit it to yourself, you will be fine!!

If hes drunk all the time, you need to get as FAR away as you can. You dont need a man like that. You could do so much better.

i would stay friends and try and move on because it takes him to get drunk to tell you how he feels. you can find better .
