They first had to nick a red car for speeding then any colour then another red etc till they got to the black. If so what was the highest break?

Though I've never heard about any case of police being reprimanded for "ticket snooker," nor have I even heard of such a term, a bit of experience does somewhat relate to your question.

There are always statistics being maintained by the government to determine that "profiling" is not condoned in law enforcement.

Statistics will show percentages of ethnic, location, type vehicles, and even color of vehicles that are stopped.

Years ago a friend asked me if I noticed the red colored vehicles always had nice looking drivers. Was it a fact? Not really....once looking for a period of time. But it was a statistic that red cars had been a popular color at one time.

Because red was so prevalent, it was not abnormal to see more red vehicles ticketed than other cars. The statistics went on to describe the order of colored vehicles versus the percentages of stops.

Is that "ticket snooker".....I don't believe so!

Hope this helps.....best wishes!

Not as far as I'm aware and I'm in a position to know. Probably another myth, similar to 'all Police Officers are institutionally racist' etc.
At the end of the day, you have to be able to prove any offence that you take action against someone for and I don't think 'his car was red your worship' would really stand up in Court.
As for the 'first to arrest someone in a new registration car', Sammy, I didn't realise that having a new car was an arrestable offence. What act and section of the law is that then?
It would be interesting to see that one getting past the custody Sergeant who has to authorise lawful detention of a prisoner.
Where do these people get these stories from?!

I did hear of that but I don't think it was really true - just another urban myth

But I did read about the driver of an emergency ambulance on a call getting a fine because he got flashed by a speedy-cam

Yes I remember it, well at least it was in the wifes paper the Sun if you can call it a paper (more like a comic). So being in that paper it could be an urban myth.
