I just got here, so I haven't been persecuted yet. In all honesty, I just allow everyone to spout there views without letting it bother me or reacting to it, unless it's late at night and I've grown tired of the drivel.

I am ignorant in many ways. I may have stopped to offer my opinion and yet not in the way you are needing. You see, I don't know whas Y!A R&S stand for. Please help me to understand the meaning.

Also allow me to give you an answer concerning my own perception of persecution.

Today I am not being persecuted, even if someone laughs at me because I do not truly understand the full relevancy of your question. That is not persecution, that is ignorance.

I don't believe I have suffered persecution throughout my life.

1. Just because I was kidnapped, abused and returned to home, it was not "all my fault" although I was treated as though it were.

2. Because my father disliked me enough to make my life extremely difficult by verbal, physical and emotional ways, that cause me to have ulcers at 4, yes four. At six I had skin eruptions brought on by nerves which I was blamed for because I just would not listen. Was it my fault that I had a major speech impediment? Of course not, but I was treated as if it were.

3. At the age of 9 I was allowed to live with my grandparents for awhile. But only until such time that I was doing well, then I 'needed to be around his brothers,' etc. Just because they had learned what a poor example of a human being I was and reacted thursly and while it wasn't what I did, it was who I was and so I was treated that way.

4. When my grandparents died and I no longer had protection was it my fault I 'lost it all' for a time being? It must have been because I was treated that way.

5. And, after 40 years of ministry and always working secular jobs in order to be able to preach where money was many time non-existant, I lost my position and my mind for a time. And today, seven years later, after having served in a church for nearly 25 years, no one comes to visit, call or just send a card. After all, I must have brought it upon my self. (forget that doctors were feeding me 28+ pills daily) Yes, it is my fault they treat me this way.

BUT WAIT. AM I PERSECUTED BECAUSE OF THEIR MIS-UNDERSTANDINGS? AM I LESS THAN A MAN BECAUSE OTHERS HAVE MADE A DECISION TO SIZE ME UP THE WRONG WAY?

NO, I AM NOT PERSECUTED AND NEITHER ARE THE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO ARE KILLED FOR THEIR FAITH DAILY. AND THOSE WHO STARVE TO DEATH ARE NOT BEING PERSECUTED, EITHER.

Life happens. Good people get hurt. Bad people seem to flourish. But it all will change one day. Perhaps not on this earthly plain, but on the next when pain and suffering are done awaly with. When we are all equal. Plenty of good food, delightful friends to visit and a Heavenly Father watching over us all.

Oh, you think He doesn't do it now? He does and that's why we are not persecuted. When I chose to wear outlandish cloths when I was a kid, I was picked on...my choice.

When I carried a Bible throughout high school and was tripped in the hallways because of it...my choice.

Think it over my friend. Is what you think of persecution really persecution or your personal choice.

Persecuted? If you mean attacked by one of the hateful bigots on here, yes. I don't feel especially persecuted on here as I choose to come here. I do get annoyed by people who answer/ask questions about Jehovah's Witnesses without knowing/caring what the truth is.

Existence itself persecutes me.

But that's alright. I'm ok with being persecuted. It is only right since I spend much of my time offending theists. It would be hypocritical of me not to allow them to strike back.

Once one has accepted that nothing really matters, it is rather difficult to even -be- offended.

I am always persecuted by the questions referring to just one category of people ( like only for girls, only gor guys, only for Muslims, only for blacks, etc) . I protest! This is discrimination, everyone has the right to take at least 2 points here.
