to have thicker smoke use warm water not just the room temperature water, this melts the dry ice a little faster so you will have thicker smoke

You have to throw it in a bucket of water and wait for it. If you put more dry ice in, the more smoke there will be, and it doesn't really matter how much water you put in. After a while the dry ice will completely melt like regular ice.

It is not smoke, just put the dry ice in water and you will get the fog effect. Works great for Halloween.......

Drop the dry ice in to a bucket of water and watch the smoke. Better have a lot of ICE if you want a lot of smoke.

Put water on it. And don't put your dry ice in the freezer, it will evaporate (it happened to me!)
