Indows paint will do that... as will a lot of other drawing packages.

Open the .bmp in paint, save it as a .jpg (use the 'save as' option and change the file type to one of the offered jpg types).

Similar options will exist in most image manipulation programs. The Gimp is a **** good one to use if you have Linux and will read .bmp and write .jpg formats among others.

Use MS Paint to open your .bmp file and click file---.Save as and choose jpeg.

open the image by paint
then save as
after that chose jpeg format

Go to my documents then click on pictures, then go to your folders however you go to then click on picture. Right click, if you see save on bottom then click on it, see below say" save as type bmp from to jpeg then save.
