I'm a gay person and totally comfortable and happy about that, I don't want a Christian makeover into a closet-gay straight travesty or a celibate non-person with all physical warmth and intimate relationships ruled out.
I'm sorry but the Christian idea of perfection isn't my cup of tea just as silicone breasts and plastic surgery are not everyone's cup of tea either.

If Christians would stop attempting to impose their religious ideals on me through legislation via their unlawful politicking I would not give a damn about what they believe and would not feel the need to ask this question.

Yeap that sounds about right. This is why I "rant" about not legislating morals.

Sweetie we christians do no longer do not have any proper about perfection. We basically attempt to be like Jesus. you've be round some hypocritical christians yet we are no longer acceptable. we are meant to hate the sin no longer the sinner. The Bible speaks obviously about how God feels about gay human beings the Lord suggested thats an abomination. yet God also suggested that no sin is larger than the different in Gods eyes you being gay is not any diverse from someone stealing or dishonest.

Christians know that we aren't perfect. We're all sinners in the eyes of God. Jesus told the Samarian woman to "go and sin no more," and we do our best to follow that.

Most people think that Christians don't smoke, drink, have sex, and that they dress uber-conservatively, carry their Bibles with them everywhere and are SUPER pushy about their beliefs. I am a Christian, I love the Lord with all my heart. I go out and drink with my friends, I've smoked a cigarette before (hacking up a lung is not my thing), I've never had sex for non-religious reasons, and when in college, I joined a sorority. Many Conservative Christians would tell me to rot in Hell. I know in my heart that God loves me and wants me to be happy. That's what matters.

I think you have a misunderstanding of what God's word actually says. Perfect is something we are not. However, God is and that is what he demands.

You definitely do not have to be a celibate person with no physical warmth.

What I truly do not understand is if you are 100% comfortable with being gay, why do you need to post that fact and then attack a Christian straw man that you seem to believe about it?

Maybe you aren't 100% comfortable?

Perfection? In simplicity maybe.

Don't let someones view corrupt your own. And, how is this for a Hollywood primer for 'A Christian Makeover'..

Inter-galactic slave god that murders and pillages using the fears of eternal abandonment, fire and death, and the promises of eternal acceptance, abundance, and home ownership.

Followers convince young children of the ever-present god and restate the fears to keep them in line. All other religions are made false and are ridiculed as the practice under a mock god(s).

Cycle is perpetuated through tax free donations to the followers and weekly membership fear and promise meetings.

..but then, why don't I tell you how I really feel about it. :)

You are correct. The Christian opinion of perfection is one of many. Who is to say which is more valid than another?

It's not our idea my friend....it's God's standard.

You have to ask yourself......is what I'm doing offending the Creator? Is it against His Word?

Please give your life to Jesus....He loves you and wants you back.
