I have noticed a trend in this section of Y/A. If someone asks a question about The Divinci Code, The Dead Sea Scrolls, The KJB vs the Holy Bible that person is attacked and told not to ask such dumb questions on R&S. Where do the Christians think these questions should be asked?

Tribal - I am talking about the legitimate questions here not the silly questions
Brani - not everyone believes the answers can be answered by a pastor. I for one do not want an answer about the DeVinci code from a holy man because it is not an unbiased answer. I would rather ask a question here and get many answers from a wide range of beliefs.

Dee - Get down off the cross and join the rest of us. I agree christian have been attacked on here at times by a few but in most cases the christians attack everyone. Time and time again answers from christians are an attack on Jews, Islamics, Hindus, Atheists, Agnostics, Wiccass, Novas and anyone else that does not believe that finding Jesus is their salvation. I have not seen a Jewish person on here state that their beliefs are the TRUTH, or THE WORD OF GOD, or warn of a Judgement day filled with hatred for people of other beliefs. Most people of other beliefs on here say I believe this or I think this might be true, or it is my beliefs that this is true.

Rule no 1: don't draw attention to the trolls. Just ignore them. You'll find useful answers in between them in most cases.

Hmmm... I'm Christian - keep in mind that alot of people pass through this forum; If
you notice a "trend" where people are saying not to ask such dumb questions, well, keep in mind that there are an aweful lot of dumb questions asked on here, too,
ya know?
I haven't noticed that trend, esspecially with regard to the KJB vs the Holy Bible? What is that about? Last time I checked the KJB stands for King James Bible. Have I missed something?
Anyway, this forum is the last place you want to generalize and say that "Christians"
say this or that. It may be individuals saying it, but certainly not the entirety of the Christian Religion. Keep it in perspective.
Any question you have with regard to Religion and/or Sprituality is welcome here,
and I see most people trying their best to answer each question; theres always gonna be that few that will post stupid questions, as well as that few who will say something ignorant and unhelpful. One thing is for sure, we have a real mix, don't we?

If someone asks a serious question, then they can expect a serious answer. If the question is asked in a ignorant way or is not serious, that questions will get an appropriate answer.
Example:
The Divinci Code says xyz is that true?
(Serious Question)
The Divinci Code says xyz so what do you Christians think about that? Where is your god now? Jesus got married so he can't be God.....
(Ignorant/Loaded question)
EDIT
If more explanation is needed feel free to email me.

I quit asking "dumb questions" because the people I've made think for a second, are wrathful. I get enough flak (messages) from people who didn't like my answers. In case you havn't noticed, I'm not a "best answers" maven.

I tend to start my Da vinci Code questions from the assumption that they are the word of god. Not to annoy anyone per se, but that it is anymore of a fiction than the bible amuses me.

I think you've got that backwards. Christians have been attacked for asking questions here on the Religion and Spirituality board.
Christianity is a religion so, where else would Christians go to post questions?
Any questions on religion or spirituality should be asked right here, the Religion and Spirituality section of QA.
