Well, it would have been better for the home team if you hadn't popped it. Then it would have drained itself and you'd be left with a much smaller lump. Apply heat to the area with a nice clean washrag, hot as you can stand, until it cools down. This should encourage anything left in it to drain out. to heal it fastest, apply one drop of tea tree oil or wipe it with witch hazel on a cotton pad. Then leave it alone. It will heal and go down much faster and heal much better if you just leave it be. There is nothing you can do to make the lump instantly disappear, it has to heal and that takes time. The more you poke at it, the more you injure the surrounding skin, and the bigger the repair job gets. In the future, resist the urge to poke and prod or pop. Apply heat as often as you can, hot as you can stand and let it drain on it's own. Use a drop of tea tree oil to the offending spot at night and when it begins to drain. Otherwise, leave it alone. If you do this, you will usually heal without trouble in a few days time. My teens use this routine and it works well. Tea tree oil has an odor some find unpleasant, so use it at night before bed and it will be done by morning. Witch hazel makes a nice cheap cleanser, with antiseptic properties as well, and a good daily wipe down/rinse.

Common over-the-counter medications for pimples are Benzoyl peroxide and/or salicylic acid. Both medications can be found in many creams and gels used to treat acne through topical application. Both medications help skin slough off easier, which helps to remove bacteria faster. A regimen of keeping the affected skin area clean plus the regular application of these topical medications is usually enough to keep acne under control, if not at bay altogether. 1-2% of the population is allergic to Benzoyl peroxide treatments.

Severe acne usually indicates the necessity of prescription medication to treat pimples. Prescription medications used to treat acne include isotretinoin or Accutane, which is a retinoid. Historically, prescription antibiotics such as tetracyclines and erythromycin were used to treat acne. While they were more effective than topical applications of benzoyl peroxide, the bacteria eventually grew resistant to the antibiotics and the treatments became less and less effective. Also, antibiotics had more side effects than topical applications (erythromycin can cause stomach cramps).

Commercial products include Murad Acne Complex and Proactiv Solution. Both of these products are subscription-based services where you sign up with the company and receive their products (usually on a monthly basis) at various prices.

Yes. The show "Brainiac" did/answered this. "Custard's one of those substances that can be both liquid and solid. If you mix custard powder with small amounts of water you eventually end up with a semi-solid that acts like a liquid without pressure applied (i.e. it will run out of a bowl if you tip it), but if you apply sharp pressure, e.g. tap it with a spoon, it will act like a solid. If you scoop some out of the bowl (slowly - otherwise it'll go solid) and then drop it on the table, it will shatter, and then start pooling like a liquid. "
