well i split frm him ages ago for 3 weeks and i told him i missed him. a few dayz after that he said he missed me. wen i was at work one nite i txt him sayin do you miss me? and his reply was Mm xx. wot the hell does that mean? why couldnt he just say YES?

Cos the're insensitive and they don't realise it's the little details like saying 'I miss you' that count....

it depends on the guy. some guys thing it silly and stupid to call just to hear the girlfriends voice, while some men will call a girlfriend or wife several times a day just to hear her voice.
if you are with a guy under 30 the chances are that he will not call you at all and he may not be missing you. he may just be using you for sex.
so you have to ask yourself does the guy you are with really love you or is he just using you. now after asking yourself you have to ask your guy what the truth of the matter is.
and be prepared to dump him and move on if the answer is not to your liking.
personally i'm 33 and single but if i were in a relationship i would be inclined to call at least once every few hours just to hear my womans voice (for want of a better phrase).
teenage boys are never going to admit they miss you especially if they do and are hanging around with the guys. it would not be seen as cool, it would make him seem weak in the eyes of his friends (wrongly so, in my opinion).
in a couple the pecking order should be your partner comes first, then your self then other family members and then friends.
in the case of a couple with kids, it is the kids first, then the partner, then yourself, family, friends, work.

You should be able to tell that he missed you by the way he acts when you come back to him.
The fact is men aren't as insensitive as some women think, we do miss you, a lot of us will tell you that, some won't but that's not to say we don't feel that way adn that's not to say we'll be compelled to tell you so as not to appear needy or vunerable.
Plus, why do some women only feel secure and validated when hearing the words. I thought actions spoke louder.

It's absolutely nothing to do with a guy being insensitive or a jacka$$ (men are people too with human emotions). Often, a guy will not want to admit missing his woman because it shows weakness. Not all guys are this way though ... there are a few more sensitive ones to be found.

Some guys want to act "Macho". That is dumb. If they really care for you they should tell you they miss you and let you know fromk the heart holw they feel. Take a look at how he treats his mom and dad. That is how he will treat his wife later on! Men generally learn how to treat a woman from how their dad treats his mom. Men generally don't think about saying things like that - it doesn't come naturally to them. If you have a bloke who's in touch with his 'softer side' and tells you he loves you and misses you, chances are he's been told by past girlfriends that that's what women like to hear and he's taken note of it.
If doesn't tell you, just make him aware that you'd like to know he misses you, not just for him to assume that you already know.
If you let him know and he doesn't make any effort to remember to tell you, then chance are he doesn't miss you.

Because their not in touch with their feelings and think that if they say they miss you then you may think that they are a wimp even though we don't.

my boyfriend tells me he misses and loves me!! there are some decent guys out there don't give up finding one!
