I am a mechanic and I have an Invention (Patent) of mine that can be applied in cars and its about safety. I want to inform car companies just in case any of them is interested. I found lots of email addresses from car companies but I need to find the right department for inventions like that. Any idea???

"Not Invented Here" syndrome is what you'll run into. Even if they did the same thing, they'd rather spend $10M to bust your patent than pay you $1M in royalties. Beating this is a gigantic lotto game, though I believe the guy who invented interval wipers did win...

The sad fact is, ideas are not a scarce commodity in the world. Ideas are to industry as scripts are to Hollywood. Useful for lining birdcages, mainly.

I don't remember the name of the guy who won the interval-wiper lotto. I DO remember the names Tucker and DeLorean, even though they never invented a single thing.

Name ONE Hollywood writer.

i hope you truly have a patent number, and paper work so you will have legal rights to you invention. with out legal rights they may see it and just reenvent it and call it their own idea and leave you out of the money circle.
