my dogs backside is really bothering him and cant get comfortable because he has a clogged duck,need help on what i can do at home.

Take your dog to the vet. If he has an anal gland problem he will have to have it expressed. If you wait to long it can rupture and will have to be stitched. The Vet will give you oral antibiotics and a cream to put on its rear. If this is a smaller pet you may have to have its anal gland expressed every few months or never. If this is a larger dog, you can ask your vet to show you how to express the anal glands. But for your sake I would let the vet do it.
Also it is a good idea to keep its rear shaved or clipped down to reduce the risk of this happening again.

If you are talking about anal glands it is possible to express them yourself...although very very yucky. If he can't wait to have it done at the vet, use some lubricating jelly, reach your thumb and index finger in there, feel for two full sacs and squeeze (or express). Have a towel ready, and maybe a puke bucket for you, but he'll feel better.

are you talking about a full anal sac? Your vet needs to express it...if the dog is large breed you may be able to learn(from your vet) how to express them from the outside on your own.

The answer from "Ecstatic.." is my exact answer as well, I might add, WEAR PLASTIC GLOVES, and this wont be so bad but, be gentle with the procedure.
