Naxal problem is not new. Just because you have woken-up
now, because of Chattisgarh killings, you started blaming everyone. The early manifestation of Naxalites, in Andhra, was as far as, back in 1948. In West Bengal Naxalbari movement culminated, at Darjeeling, in 1967.
The problem is social and it is a armed struggle, on behalf of land-less. So it is not easily solvable by Chattisgarh Government, Central Home Minister or '10 Janpath.

no doubt law and order is a state subject if itis limited local problem, but incase of naxals or extrimists they are threatening nation and hence tibe tackled by centre only. home minister can he himself take initative explain and swing swiftly into action.further it should not be treated as law and order problem alone but also as social problem the orgin for this issue is widening of gap between haves and haves not abnormally day by day.

not to speak of the upa government, all governments earlier also have failed miserably to control this naxalite minace. untill and unless the problem of basic needs of the persons below poverty line is addressed by the union govt or by the state govt will be enable to control this problem.al though it is state subject, but when any problem goes out of hand , the union govt will have to step in and this is the stage, where in the upa govt should play a active role, in mitigating the sufferings of the persons below poverty by introducing scheme to provide roti, kapra and makan to the poorest of poor persons by generating more and more employment avenues to them, this is where every govt has failed on the ground. every scheme to provide relief is only run on papers and middle men gets the big bucks, leaving the main would be benefiencery in doldrums. perhaps we all have to think how to eliminate the middle men in running all the welfare schemes. till we do this this problem will continue to show their haed again and gain. thanks.

Naxilites need to be cheked, not only with power but also with peaceful movements like 'salva-judam' in chattisgarh, whose success among locales has significantly eroded public support to naxals in whose names these stupids have been performing carnage. Not only this, dont u think 'only army' as solution is only a pain killer . If this problem is to be not only solved but dissolved , breeding grounds i.e. neglected interior of India, away from glow of malls need to be taken heed of.?????
