My most treasured passession is my family...
because...
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working
for could easily replace us in a matter of days.
But the family we left behind will feel
the loss for the rest of their lives.
And come to think of it, we pour
ourselves more into work than to our family an unwise investment indeed.
FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER, (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU

Since I don't consider people or animals to be possessions, but elements of my life (to me a possession is obliged to take whatever mistreatment you may dole out while people and animals are not, nor can possessions return love), my most treasured possession is an afghan. My great aunt knitted it for me despite very bad arthritis. It reminds me of all the things we've done together. Because of the time and effort she put into it, knowing she was making it for me, that makes it more valuable than anything monetarily valuable in my book.

My daughter because she is precious.
If you are talking materialistic, then I would say my Reynold's Coronet that my parents bought me back in 1978 when I joined band. The company went out of business, which now makes my horn valuable.

When I was very young I gave my grandmother an angel to keep on her mantle. When I went away to college she gave it back to me.
Now that she has passed on, I keep the angel in my bedroom, and even though she is now slightly damaged, she is the most important thing that I own.

my photographs - they are my link to my past. I have family photos that date back to the 1880's. I love seeing the resemblances to current family members.

My mind.
It is the one thing that noone can take from me without killing me. It is what keeps me alive, it is what makes me unique, it is all that consumes my day.
With it I am free. I keep what I want, lose what I don't need and let change only if I let it change me.
It is well and truly mine; my only constant.
