The car might have been what is known as pre-registered. The manufacturer or importer registers the car to boost its figures in a particular month, and then sells it via the dealer network at a discounted price even 'though it is still a brand new car. It generally happens with lower specced "cooking" models, and may give you room to negotiate with the garage on the price if this is the case. If it has only had 2 previous keepers, contact the previous owner as listed on the log book (not the last person to have the car but the one before) to see if this was the case.

the number of keepers does raise eyebrows but only to more questions about the said vehicles past, for e.g. the last 3 previous recorded owners may have kept that vehicle in the family for 3 different drivers ,like a hand-me down, for example.

Believe your log book ! but the first owner may be the garage that originally sold the car

Not really. It makes a car more desirable but not really worth any more.
