looking at the wall? She's my student and every 10 minutes she turns her head to the side and looks at the wall. Is she trying to look at someone behind her, next to her, or does she have a problem?

have you heard of introversion? Staring at the wall distracts her from realizing that you are looking at her too often.

If it's a high gloss wall, it may be that she can see her own reflection in it. If so, this is a distraction and you need to move her seat. It may also be that she's daydreaming or that she's bored. Who sits next to her? Can it be that this person is annoying her? To cover all bases, ask her why she does this.

maybe she think she stinks or something but most likely she has a problem one way or another because if she tried to look at some one behind her she would stop after the first couple times of doing it because its not successful "to try too see that person" but yea being kind wont help

The wall is more interesting than your class?

Could be she is very shy, be gentle with her. Don't bring this with the rest of the students around, call her and ask here why she is behaving like that.

hmmmm---maybe she has add/adhd, her neck hurts, something smells bad and she is turning away, she does it when she is about to sneeze, she is looking for the clock or she is looking at some hottie------just some ideas?

Ask her.
Maybe she is bored or something? Her lack of attention should be addressed, so ask her.
