well first thing is to give them money, they always need money. For an infallible deity, he sure cant balance a checkbook. especially if your catholic, it takes a lot of money to move around all of those pedophile priests.
Second: you have to give up personal freedom. Because you have to start living like they say you should. Otherwise when you meet at your weekly meeting to compare whos dressed the nicest and to talk about the other parishoners, YOU just might be the topic of conversation.
Third: Give up your ability for rational thought. To do this you must first blame all the injustices in the world on the devil (or people who pray to a different invisible man than you), And claim that all your good fortune in your life is because of your invisible man (God, Allah, some cow, etc.)
This last one has always given me trouble, along with the whole concept of praying to a god for something, isn't it already decided and written out and therefore a moot point? If someone you know is sick, first of all why dont they take him to church instead of the hospital? If their god is so miraculous and can do anything, shouldn't he cure one of his followers plights? But they dont do that, they take them to the hospital, a place of science which is their claimed enemy. And if todays modern medicine cures them, It is because their god made it so. And if they die, it was their gods will or somehow the godless doctors fault. This has always fascinated me about people who believe in God, no matter what evils there is in this world, he is given a pass. Much like a retarded child who still soils himself as a teenager, or a spineless person who continually forgives their spouses infidelity. They aren't held accountable.
Kids, listen up, there is no god. It was all started a long time ago as a means to control people. Sure, the bible has some nice little stories that are tales of morality about how the world would be a better place if we showed each other kindness and compassion. But you don't need a religion to do that. And even if there is a god, what kind of asleep at the wheel, uncaring, vindictive S.O.B. is the guy. More people have died due to religious persecution and religous bickering than any other cause in mans existence. Are these the kind of people you want to be associated with?

The church is the place where the temples of God gather. All Christians who are born-again have the Holy Spirit living in them as His holy temples. All Christians are therefore temples of God. One can be born-again by confessing with one's mouth that Jesus is Lord and also confessing that one believes in one's heart God has raised Him from the dead. Once you are born-again it is best to get the direction of the Holy Spirit as to which church you should attend and for all other matters concerning your spiritual growth as well..

To become a part of the Church is to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. We can never be saved because of what we do; we can only be saved because of what Jesus Christ has already done for us. Let me explain.
Our greatest problem can be put in one word: sin. Sin cuts us off from God, and sin also keeps us out of heaven. But how can we get rid of our sins? We can't erase them or cause them to disappear by ourselves; we don't have the power. The only way we can get rid of our sins is for someone to come along and take them away for us.
And that is exactly what Jesus Christ did for us. We are weighed down by the burden of our sins—but Jesus took that burden upon Himself when He died on the cross for us. To put it another way, He took the punishment we deserve when He went to the cross in our place. The Bible says, "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God" (1 Peter 3:18).
What must you do? Simply believe that Christ has taken away your sins, and then receive Him into your heart and life. The Bible's promise is for you: "To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12). Become God's child today by asking Christ to come into your life.
