Ok, so I have went out with this guy a few times. My parents want to meet him, but he is really scared. He has never had a gf. I am 18 and he is 20. He keeps saying, "What if we stop dating, and then I have met your parents?" I was like," So are you saying that you don't want to date anymore?" And he said," That's not what I said." He said let him sleep on it and then he would tell me. I don't think he likes me. :( Help me please.

It doesn't necessarily mean anything. BUT, make sure you are down-playing the whole 'meet the parents' thing. Tell him your folk just want to meet the guy their daughter has been hanging out with. No biggie.

Poor guy is just scared!!!
It's a big thing for some guys to have meet his girlfriends parents. What if they don't like him?
As you said he has never had a girlfriend before and he is just worried.
I don't think it means he doesn't like you!! Infact, I think the fact that he is worried about getting the approval of your parents means he DOES like you!
He probably feels that once he has met your folks then there is extra pressure on him to be good to you...
If he does agree to meet your parents then support him and try to make the experience as relaxed and easy as possible.

hmm... could be that he really is scared, but depending on what kind of guy he is, he might not be interested...
to be honest though... why would you want to date a guy of 20 yrs. that acts like a wimpy boys?! if he won't come meet your parents then he must be pathetic... men should have back bones! how will he ever stand up for you, truly care about you, and just be an awesome bf if he can't meet the parents? besides you are your family and they are you, shouldn't he want to see/learn more about you?!

i don't think that he doesn't like you. well,as you had said,he never had a gf and that you've went out with him a few times, maybe he's just anxious and needs time there. take it easy and don't think too much...Good luck to the both of you =D

it looks like that he is nervous of making a bad impression on your parents and if you are his "First GF" as you said then he wouldn't know what to do know would he?

Sounds like a really nice guy...he is wanting to make sure you are.."the one"...before meeting up with your parents......(No embarassment to either of you if you do break up)...he is thinking of your welfare, so be proud he only wants to big note himself to you until he is sure......good luck to both of you..(Lucky girl)...

he likes you ,but is scared to meet the parents , it is so formal . maybe you can arrange of just "bumping" into them by accident, when you are in the mall with him or at a cafe ........... that helps first time jitters to pass

I think he's a little insecure right now. He's not sure where he stands in your relationship. He's not sure whether or not he likes you. He's going to sleep on it and decide whether he does or not.
