While I agree that no-one should have them, the main difference is we would never actually use them unless attacked by another Country, whereas I would not be too confident about certain other Countries not either launching themselves, or not having enough security in place to stop some bunch of fanatic morons taking them over and launching - either way it's death and destruction all the way - PLus you never know, the threat may not come from our Planet........whoooooooo
BTW - Invading a Country such as Iraq is somewhat different to dropping a few Nukes on them - whoever was busy quoting what I have said

OK, lets see, in a perfect world nobody has nukes, so lets extrapolate a little and say no weapons of any kind, sounds good, except for a couple of things 1) last I checked, no perfect world 2) the people the west is dealing with are, I don't know, NUTS!!! and wouldn't think twice about using nukes if they had them. 3)the US and the west won't, or we would have by now. 4) disarming and hoping that they will do the same is, deluded? 5) weapons systems like everything else, at some point need to be replaced. 6) a lot of people in the US and the west in general seem to think were dealing with people who are like us, wrong!!, the guy running Iran has stated that their aim s to bring back the 12th Imam who incidentally has been DEAD!! for something like 500 years, and the only way to do that is to bring about Armageddon, does that sound all warm and fuzzy to you? because if it does that goes a long way towards explaining why we A) have to keep listening to this every time we do something to protect ourselves and, B) is
in large part going to be responsible for it actually happening
because our enemies see us as indecisive and weak, and
rightfully so which does nothing but emboldens them to do more against us. I suggest you watch the DVD Obsession and then decide if you think doing what we need to do to protect ourselves is a waste of time and money and stop looking at the world through rose colored glasses.

The world is not free of nuclear arms yet. So Blair has no
option but to keep updating country's coffer for defence.
Nuclear arms in any ustable/ undemocretic country is a
grave danger for the world. And this is the common sense.

Thats a way to keep their super power status (industrial military complex).
They teach university students that democracies don't fight against each other, but at the same time no one is saying that countries with nukes also don't fight each other.
That is why ever country is now rushing to develop nukes, its crazy, no one feels safe.
Too many stupid ideologies out there!!

What would be the point in letting nutters have nukes just to practice what you preach..
Surely the whole point in having nukes is to deter mad countries from trying to kill us all.. And possibly world domination..

Hey, um...Iraq never attacked us and we invaded their country. Afghanistan never attacked us and we invaded their country.
The 9/11 attackers were Saudi's. Might wanna read up on that little tidbit of factual information.
