I drink Lactofree which is ordinary milk with an enzyme added which digests the lactose for you. It tastes the same as ordinary milk and you can buy it in the dairy section of the supermarket. Don't give her ordinary milk at this early age, she won't be able to adjust to it. It is worth making the effort to ensure she is not going to be sick every day of her young life.

My son was lactose intolerant until about age 3. Every once in a while we would try milk with him and he didn't do well. But we kept trying and now he is making up for the milk he didn't drink when is was younger and having no problems.

My daughter is lactose intolerant. We buy regular cows milk for her the only difference is it has the added enzyme which breaks down the lactose for her. It tastes the same and has just the same nutritional value.

Give her/him lactaid and soy milk. They taste pretty good. If you want her/him to have regular milk, I suggest giving it to her/him in small amounts then gradually increasing it. I was lactose my whole life until a couple years ago. I started drinking it in small amounts and increased and now I can honestly say I don't get sick anymore when I have ice cream or milk with my cereal. Yay!

You can't...regular milk will make her sick..upset tummy, cramps, diarehha. She will need to drink lactose free or soy milk. You can find these at any grocery store. She will also have to be careful or avoid most dairy products like cheese, yogurt and ice cream.

You can give her lactiad I think is the name of it. Had to give it to my daughter myself which helps them digest the lactos in cows milk. Also there are products out on the market that is cows milk but has 100% of the lactos removed look in your dairy section of the grocery store and NO it is not soy or goats milk. Organic Valley and Organic Meadow are two of them but I know there is one called Dr. something not sure what though.

You should not give her regular milk. The closest to it is Lactaid Milk that is fortified with a special enzyme to help her digest it. She should not have Lactaid Pills until she is a little bigger. She does not need Soy unless she is allergic. Lactaid milk is better because it is closer to regular milk.

i would start with soy milk and after she gets used to that start gradually putting in some regular milk. after she gets used to the one amount you put in with the soy milk, add a bit more until she is completely ordinary milk. It's very important to use the same amount of milk every stage otherwise you'll have a sick child on your hands. GOOD LUCK
