Sounds awful psychoanalytical. Freud believed that everything was subconsciously sexual and linked to childhood. This line of thought is generally not accepted.
I'm not sure how you are tying this in with religion. God is an all-powerful being. Does an all-powerful being go through stages like childhood? Who would have traumatized him? Who says God is obsessed with sex? Why are you trying to understand the psychology of God - do you understand your own?

God isn't obsessed with sex - it's his followers who are. The OT God says eating shellfish is an abomination, as is wearing two different fabrics at once, and lying with a man. This God just seems to be a lunatic, not a sex fiend.
Read Genesis, ohmygod, it is the most amazing collection of myths you think you know, but don't. Noah drunk and naked? Women marrying Giants? God kicking out Adam and Eve not for eating the apple, but because they might eat of the tree of immortality next and 'be like us.'
When you learn those stories all over again for the very first time, move on to Leviticus and learn how to treat your slave. If he won't listen, Leviticus says you can nail his ear to the town wall.
See, god's just a sonofabitch.

No. He simply told Adam and Eve to populate the Earth. It is mankind that has the obsession with sex. Even religious leaders have used it to scare and manipulate people to believe what THEY want society to believe. God's purpose for people has never changed. The fact that He created us to find sex pleasurable instead of an emotionless act was loving on His part. same as creating us to enjoy food and flowers. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-6 says "For this is what God wills....that you gain control of your vessel (body)..... not in covetous sexual appetite that no one go to the point of harming and encroaching upon the rights of others in this manner." So as you see here God is concerned with controlling sexual appetite so no one is raped or assaulted. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Sexuality is a *cosmic* principle|
----------------------------------------------
God is sexual in His essence (as a Trinitarian relationship), however, we cannot envision His sexuality as that of the union of two human bodies that we understand as sex on earth| Sexuality in God, like everything else about God, is a completely transcendent reality which is a dark mystery to us on earth|
Creation is sexual.
Look at the plants and animals|
Inanimate objects are sexual.
The class of languages called "romantic," i.e. Latin, French, Spanish, Italian, Romanian etc. reflect this in their gender specific terms|
Sexual attraction between a man and a woman is a beautiful thing|
However, often in this day and age, you see tarts with low cut tops and high cut shorts| That is dress that is rightly called "immodest."| Such young women often make the judgment that all men are creeps| That is because they have only a certain type of man chasing them| You don't get a sense of proper femininity from those, but the sense that they are good for only one thing| It is not the *amount* that a woman wears that makes for modesty or immodesty, but *how* the clothes are worn (every normal woman intuitively knows this)| A woman could be wearing very little on a beach and still be modest because the particular setting makes that appropriate| But otherwise, in day to day settings, a woman can dress in a beautiful and sexy way with the appropriately form fitting clothes, and it is in a way that does not invite lust, but is simply a presentation of her feminine beauty| A woman's body is an awesome thing!
Now to the moral teachings of the Church, which I believe that you were alluding to|
They are not against sexuality per se, but only the *distortions* and *abuses* of it|
These abuses bring destruction into lives, turning sexuality from something that gives happiness and produces new life, into something that destroys|
The abuses *promise* happiness (abuses such as fornication), but it is merely *bait* presented as a good, appealing to our fallen human nature for short sighted and immediate gratification, failing to use our reason and the heeding of God's commandments that alone bring life, health, and joy|

There are many Gods in this world, all with their own followers. Personally, I like to believe that he's with a Mrs. of a sort that yells at him on the odd occasion and winds him up on purpose just to see his reaction. Stress had to have come from somewhere. As for his obsession with sex, well. At least we know He's straight.

God is not obsessed with sex. He created it, so He knows how it works best, and He has set boundries for it. For instance, He has said that homosexual acts are forbidden, and lo and behold, it turns out that the average life expectancy for male homosexuals is only about 45 years. He gave sex to us so we can experience oneness with our mates, and we are not to just go around giving ourselves to whomever we might find attractive today, it is to be saved for that one person (of the opposite sex) that we will spend the rest of our lives with (within the covenant of Holy matrimony). It is really quite beautiful when used as God intends us to use it.

Actually, God is obsessed with His children receiving His blessings. Whichever portions of your life (sex, finances, career, relationships, health, etc) you choose to turn over to Him, He will bless. Whichever portions you choose not to, He will not. But the first thing to do is become a child of God. That's done by accepting His Son, Jesus as your Lord and Savior - If you don't want to do that part, I wouldn't worry about any of the rest. "Acting" like a Christian, while rejecting His Son won't score you any points with God. He measures our hearts.

First, God is spirit and had no genitals and therefore no gender. God is not "he" or "she."
Second, God is not obsessed with sex, some but not all of God's followers, are obsessed with sex.
Third, what you are doing is trying to created God in the image of people. That's bass ackwards.

Where have you read this? He himself is not obsessed with sex, but he created US and introduced the knowledge of sex education so we can multiply. You must be thankful to him, otherwise you won't be here talking about this nonsense.
