These were my fav w/ 5 or less that I have tried and would definitely do again:

Chicken Stroganoff:

2 1/2 pound chicken tenders
1 envelope of Onion soup mix (Lipton)
15oz Sour Cream (can use fat free or red. fat)
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup (undiluted & can use low fat)
1.5-2cups sliced Mushrooms (any kind you like)

1. Mix the sour cream, onion soup mix, and cream of mushroom soup together in a bowl and set aside

2. Lay the chicken tenders on the bottom of crock pot

3. Lay the mushrooms evenly over the chicken tenders

4. Spread the mix from step 1 over the mushrooms. Completely coat the mixture from one side of the crock pot to the other until you have used it all and can not see the bottom layers of ingredients.

5. Set crock pot on HIGH for 3 hours or LOW for 6-7.

Chipotle Raspberry Pork Roast:

Chipotle Raspberry Sauce (condiment aisle)
3 pound Pork Roast
1 Packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix

1. Place roast in crock pot
2. Sprinkle Onion Soup Mix on top of roast. Pat the mix into the meat so it will stick a little
3. Pour the bottle of sauce over top of the roast
4. Place crock pot on HIGH for 3-4 hours and on LOW for 6-8

Salsa Chicken

4-5 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 Large jar of picante sauce or salsa
1 pkg. Tortillas (flour)
Any condiments you wish (sour cream, shredded cheese, sliced olives, guacamole, etc.)

1.Put chicken in crock pot.
2.Pour salsa over chicken.
3.Cover and cook on low about 5 hours.
4.Remove chicken and shred with fork.
There will be a lot of liquid in crock pot, but shredded chicken will absorb it when placed back in pot and stirred.

5. Warm tortillas. Place chicken and condiments on tortilla and roll.

1 (1 1/4 ounce) package dried brown gravy mix
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package dried Italian salad dressing mix
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package dried ranch dressing mix
1/2 cup water

1.Place beef roast in crock pot.
2.Mix the dried mixes together in a bowl and sprinkle over the roast.
3.Pour the water around the roast.
4.Cook on low for 7-9 hours.

The beauty of a slow cooker is that you can put in whatever you like!

I love cubed beef, potatoes, pumpkin, carrot, peas and corn, so that's what I put in!

It tastes extra good in you add a bay leaf though!

It's basically a Hungarian Goulash. Check out some recipes for this and make it your own, just as I did!

One of our favorites in the slow cooker is shredded beef tacos. Put a beef roast in the cooker with about 1/2 cup of water. (Could even use a pork roast.) Sprinkle a packet of taco seasoning over roast and let cook until done. (Several hours on high I guess... I never time it.) I then shred the roast in the juices and mix well. I serve it on flour tortillas with guacamole & shredded cheese. You can add whatever toppings you like... lettuce, tomatoes, onions, olives, salsa, etc.

We also cook a plain roast (salt & peppered), shred it and then mix it well with bbq sauce & heat thoroughly. Serve on hamburger buns, with plain potato chips and pickle wedges.

GNOCCHI
3 ingredients
1 Kg (2 1/4 lb) potatoes
300 g (10 1/2 oz) white flour
Salt
Cook the potatoes in plenty of salted water or steam them; peel and press them through a sieve while still hot (or you could use a mouli legumes).
Mix them with the flour and a pinch of salt on a lightly floured work surface.
Work the dough at length.
If there is too much flour in the dough, the dumplings will be hard. If you put too much potato, they will disintegrate in the saucepan. The doses in this recipe are indicative, seeing that the balance depends on the "flouriness" of the potatoes, their absorbency capacity and the quality of the flour used.
Let the dough rest for a quarter of an hour.
Then roll it into long fingers and divide them into cylinders about an inch long. Dust lightly with flour and, with your thumb, press them gently, one by one, along the back of a grater or a fork. Arrange them on lightly floured dishes without putting one on another one.
Cook immediately in plenty of salted boiling water. They are cooked as soon as they float to the surface. Remove with a slotted spoon.
Dress them at once as you wish.

RICE WITH SALMON AND ZUCCHINI
(for 2 people)
Ingredients: 160 g Venere rice, 1 big slice fresh salmon, 1 small zucchini, extra-virgin olive oil, salt and pepper.
.
Put water in a pot and bring it to boil, add rice and salt and cook it for 45-50 minutes. In the meanwhile clean and wash zucchini and cut then in thin slices. Put some oil in a pan, add zucchini and cook for about 20 minutes. Tak another pan and put some oil, add salmon and cook it for about 20 minutes. Mix now salmon with zucchini, season with salt and pepper. When rice is cooked drain it and mix it to the salmon and zucchini. Serve warm.

PASTA CACIO E PEPE
Ingredients: Pasta , 2 1/2 Tbsp Pecorino Romano per person, 1/2 tsp black pepper per person, water.

Cook pasta "a dente". Grate Pecorino Romano and add black pepper. When pasta is cooked, drain it and save some of the water used to cook it. You can now sprinkle pasta with Pecorino and pepper, and at the same time you have to add some water (fro pasta) to make Pecorino melt and form a nice and creamy sauce.

FRITTATA DI PASTA COTTA AL FORNO
2 little portions of pasta remains
3 eggs
2 tablespoons dried chives
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
If you have some dressed pasta left, you can use it in the following way: make a tasty omelette!
Separate whites from the yolks; add yolks to pasta together with dried chives, season to taste with salt and stir.
Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Meanwhile whip egg whites until stiff. Oil a deep baking dish with extra virgin olive oil. Fold whipped whites into pasta in circular movements from the bottom upwards, using a wooden spoon. Turn the mixture in the baking dish and level the surface. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or until the surface is golden. Don't open the oven during cooking time for avoiding omelette goes down.
Wait some minutes before serving.
