Have purchased a U.S.B cable and data suite c.d rom for my samsung D500 mobile to connect to my p.c to upload pics and download music! When i put the C.D in the drive my A.V.G. antivirus blocks it running and tells me it has a Logger.Ransom.a virus which can detect keystrokes and send details of private accounts! Do i need to ignore this and install anyway or throw it in the dustbin! Any help would be welcome thanks !

Download the software you need from the official samsung website - this way alll you'll get is the applications and no other nastyness. Website listed below - or if you wanna be safe just google samsung d500 + support

I tried to do a search of Logger.Ransom.a virus for you but couldn't find anything. Therefore I would not install this product - it could end up being a nightmare.
You may be able to check your Antivirus software for more information - if it has a fix (as opposed to just being able to quarantine the thing) then you could install it and run your anti-virus.

If you really want to use it then install it and then run your antivirus. With a bit of luck it will remove the virus and leave the program working ok. At worst the program will crash, in which case you can un-install it.

I would get onto the manufacturers looking for a refund, One would not expect genuine software to have viruses etc.
