At work this happens to me when hurrying to the restroom. There is always someone who wants to stop and talk along the way or at the door. When I get up from my seat to go, someone will always choose that moment to follow me. It is very uncomfortable.
Once, when I was rushing to get into an elevator while the doors were closing, I was waylaid by a bomb that someone had left. This was not a little poot either. The elevator was one of those that start up right away after the doors are closed, so I couldn't get off. I had to ride six floors with that gas all around me, without any other person getting on. Considering they had done it on purpose, I looked all around for the culprit once I got off of the elevator. There was no one in the hallway or the parking lot. I was furious! Plus, I reeked of the foul wind.

When you think about it- the body releases those gases daily although that isnt usually noticed and is odorless.
Technically, that means everyone has broken some wind in front of a number of other people- but they probably didnt even know it themselves!
But in the way youre meaning- sure thing. Sometimes it is unavoidable. Too bad for the oncoming traffic :p

Ever break wind on an elevator right as your about to get off? Try it, good for about 15-20 minutes worth of laughter.

Of course we all have. And being the evil creatures that we are, we'll fart and then get out of range and watch the reaction of other people. It's human nature at it's "finest". LOL

Everyone has. Not good to keep it in...upsets the stomach.
My tip, if you want to save yourself from this is to hold it in while you look really "interested" at a shop window.
