Im 19, unemployed, and in college. I lived in Cleveland or around it all my life, and miserable here. i got no family, few friends, and lost my job. i dont drive, and the public transportation here sucks. in my neighborhood, literally, im pretty much the only Indian...and the east Indian community here in Cleveland is very low, compared to new york. all my friends tell me the reason things are falling apart here is so i can move on, and i always had the idea to move to nyc, but i just never really acted on it. I dont drive, which is good if in nyc. i know cost of living there is high, but with SSI income, how much is that in new york? any other financial benefits? Im lookin into workin for any library there, and prolly gonna have a second job. how much does the library pay for a page? or clerk? i been to nyc before, spent a lot of time in Jackson Hts n Flushing, and i really miss it there. i felt happy for once. i cried when i left. any ideal neighborhoods w lots of Indians? ne ideas?

Queens, Lefferts blvd. is mostly Indian heritage. I say do it what is the worse that can happen you have nothing their and you have nothing stopping you. You will never no unless you try. I would try to get my license in Cleavland just because it may be easier and less expensive.
There are so many different avenues to venture down in NYC and many different resources. Give it a shot.
I moved from NYC to SC, from SC back to NYC, from NYC to VA, from VA to WA, Seattle. Take a risk, that's what life is all about. You have to live and learn at some point.
Good Luck

i'm sorry to take heed to you're unhappy there. the city has come an particularly long procedures in 30 years. I believe TR that place does not outline happiness. NYC is surprising too, yet as one defined it to me it is the better of each and every thing and the worst of each and every thing. in case you think of you may fare extra effectual in an Indian community evaluate North Chicago around Devon street. I quite have a demanding time believing that folk in Cleveland do no longer handle you nicely. notably plenty each and every person I ever by surprise met or met from Cleveland replaced into notably friendly -- Cleveland Rocks!

First, learn how to drive or expect to be handicapped all your life. Then move to where ever you feel good. The get some free personal ads going and be very selective..
