No, I don't. But the lesson Jesus was trying to teach should be. Jesus was not showing his disciples how to wash feet. This incident occurred after one of two (or is that 3) incidents where Jesus' disciples were arguing over who was greater among them. Jesus used the foot washing to teach them humility.... to teach them that they were all equal.

That is a lesson that needs to be learned and taken to heart.

No. Foot washing was a cultural thing in Biblical times. They lived in a very arid place and feet often became dirty. It was custom to wash the feet of your guests when they entered homes and the custom was carried over into the church. It is not necessary today. There are other ways to serve the Body of Christ.

Yes. It has been done in our church. It is a statement of humility by the clergy. Any minister, priest or pastor that will not wash the feet of his congregation in not worthy to serve god because he is denying his office of service.

yes ,

but only for kids to get "happy feet" :)

Jesus did that practice to tell us an important message , not to practice foot massage .

I believe that the message is more important than the way we got it through , and I think all of us got it . we only need to live it.

Yes, because Jesus said to do it.

"If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet." John 13:14

It's a sign that we are willing to do anything for our neighbor. It's a very humbling experience - that's what Jesus wants for us - humble hearts...before partaking of communion.

By WHO ...to WHO.
Jesus did it to show humbleness.
What Jesus wants us to do is found at ;

(MATTHEW 28:19-20) “Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.””

Jesus himself never said to continue the practice of washing feet..

we must remember the great mining of this act as well as the all thing that lord JESUS had teach us .he want us to understand 2 things that we are clean of hart and body because we are withe him (clean from sin for accepting him as a savior). but as well as we are un the earth the unclean earth ( or in the body ) we Will have sin because we have the nature of sin in us .in other meaning our foot will become dirty. so we are clean but we must clean our foot every day .this means in spiritual way that we accept Jesus we became clean but we have daily sins we must be sorry before God before we enter in his present .We must be sorry for all uncleanness from the daily life selfishness ets .. and all sins .before Dy. 2 nd he teaches us to not be proud of our self and be servant of all in God's love... Jesus the son of all mighty God had came and die for us!!!!!! wash our feet !!!!! what big love is this .HALLELUJAH JESUS .THANK YOU GOD

Yes. I feel it is a wonderful reminder of what Jesus expects from us; service to others. It's only a reinactment of what Jesus did, kind of like a visual aide.

God bless,
