Wine in itself was not considered polluting in Old Testament and New Testament times. It was supposed to be drunk in moderation, but not to the point of drunkenness. Not as much was known then as is known now about the chemistry of alcohol addiction and the fact that some who are addicted to alcohol cannot even have one drink without going overboard and getting drunk instead.

This was one of Jesus miracles, that is why they call it a miracle. If just anyone could feed several thousand with just a few loaves and fish, world hunger would be ended. If just anyone could turn water into wine, it wouldnt be a miracle.
I'm sure some scientists somewhere are probably working on something along that line, if they haven't tried and given up already. Then there were the alchemists of medieval times, who wanted to turn lead into gold. No known successes so far.

Yes I know the secret. You have to be God and can perform miracles. You need to do a little research anyway. Wine in those days was not as the wine we have today. It wasn't very rich in alcohol. Wine was used because it was able to keep for a very long time without going sour. Most all other drinks other than water would sour after a very short time. It took a lot of table wine to get someone even a little tipsy back then. They did have another wine for getting drunk but this was not usually used for things like dinner wine.

The*** PRANOGRAPHER***Will again have to enlighten the not so imaginative on this sight. This guy Jesus was no fool. He knew the affects that Cannabis had on the mind. Think about it.Use your imagination.Being the wanderer that he was.I think there would be many times he would find himself out in some wilderness, and need of food. Himself not being much of a hunter. I would think he was a gatherer.
In those days almost everyone considered plants that leafy with flowers were almost always edible. Except of course plants like poison Ivy,Hemlock, and some others that were known to man at that time.
So one day he stumbled onto a nice green plant, with pretty little white flowers, and being as hungry as he probably was he tasted them, and saw that they were good. He then munched on them. The more he munched. The more he got the munches. The more he ate of this fruitful plant. Then it hit him. Jesus got the first buzz known to man. Then he started hearing voices.Voices in the sky. To you this shall be as meat. The more he ate. The more he heard, and was convinced that he was not alone. And it was good. He then thought to himself, I must get my fellow man to experience what I have just witnessed. How can I acomplish this, he wondered. Then it came to him. I will boil this stuff in water, and people will think that I turned the water into wine. A wine that they have never before tasted, and never before could make them eat anything he would offer up upon them, and the rest is history. He got people stoned to the max , and then convinced them that if they were to follow him, he would lead them to more of his stash, and this was good. The***PRAYNOGRAPHER ***has given you food for thought. Those of you that can think free of mind. Try it. It is called Free Thinking, and it is healthier then Xristian brainwashing.

The secret is, God can do anything He wants, you can't. If we had that power, the world would be more messed up than it already is. The bible does say the body is a temple but it doesn't say that Jesus turned water into wine and everybody got drunk. That would be polluting your body. Christians can do alot of things, we just know not to go overboard.

the story of Jesus turning water into wine: okay, you see, Jesus was at this wedding, right? and the bride and groom ran out wine for their guests, embarrassing right? so Jesus performed his very first miracle (i use the word Miracle because that's what it was, there is no explanation of how it happened..I mean, we're talking about a God here..you know, with supernatural powers, not another human being) why did he perform this miracle? to show that God CARES, even about the little things, like embarrassment.

And science has proved that wine (in moderation) is good for your "temple", specifically the heart. especially red wine. God probably already knew that, though.

If you read the holly Book carefuly you'll see that Jesus drank wine in some ocassions. So you are not going to pollute your body by drinking wine. Only when your body depends on wine-you cannot live without it- you may speak of pollution of the temple of the Holy Spirit.

I don't think Jesus was trying to make money.
But Wine, the right type and in moderation, can be quite healthy for a person.
Everything in moderation.
If the body is a temple and one, 1, daily glass does so much for our body, then sounds right. Some people though just shouldn't try the one thing, as they can't help themselves.

Seems people can find a bad way to use anything.

Almight God and his son, Jesus, are NOT against the drinking of wine.
It is only when you drink to EXCESS, that it does you know good.
(1 TIMOTHY 5:23) “Do not drink water any longer, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent cases of sickness.”
(EPHESIANS 5:18) “Also, do not be getting drunk with wine, in which there is debauchery, but keep getting filled with spirit,”
(PROVERBS 20:1) “Wine is a ridiculer, intoxicating liquor is boisterous, and everyone going astray by it is not wise.”
(PROVERBS 23:20) “Do not come to be among heavy drinkers of wine, among those who are gluttonous eaters of flesh.”

There is a huge difference between having SOME wine, and getting drunk on it.

Jesus turned water into wine in the same way that today's Catholic priests turn wine into the "Blood of Christ" and those tasteless little wafers into "the Body of Christ". No more than that, if it happened at all.

Nope. The folks who wrote that one down got it the wrong way around.

Jesus turned wine into water.

And I can do that too. All I have to do is drink a lot of wine... and wait until I feel the pressure on my bladder... I'm sure you know the rest.
