There is animal adaptation, but its more from a creation orchard than an evolutionary tree. The create animal types will micro evolve and adapt to their environments but as far as apes to man or non life to life... no.
First, this would require death before the fall. Death entered the world because Adam sinned. God gave animals fruit and plants and seeds to eat, not each other to eat... that would involve death in the world in Genesis 1.
Second, the order of creation is wrong with long age theistic evolution. In Genesis 1, Birds are supposed to come before reptiles, plant before sun.
Third, in the process of point mutations information tends to decrease and wind down, evolution requires a large continuously increasing amount of new information. (See 'in the beginning was information" by Gitt)
As far as apes to man, the fossils we see are either ape or man and the missing link is often touted but .. alas.. never found. A good video on the subject would include "Lucy She's no Lady" by Menton and "Image of God or Planet of the Apes" by Dewitt

The fossil record shows life appearing suddenly, then explosions occurring where new forms appear suddenly without leaving transitional forms. Some leading evolutionists have come up with a theory to explain this, "punctuated equilibrium".
The "transitional fossils" that I have studied so far only seem to be more diverse forms of life that have 1 or 2 things in common with parent and child species, but vary in other ways that makes it clear they are not in the lineage. When I question this, the answer is "Oh, it is the cousin to the transition, not the transition itself".
I would have no problem believing evolution. But, considering that there are over 1.5 million species named, the amount of transitions should be staggering.
Even if a small percentage were found, we should have thousands of species with clear inarguable transitional steps, not "cousins" to the transitions.
The evidence points to God creating animals in "explosions" over a long period of time. Possibly using the base genetic matter from one animal to create another, same as using Adam's rib to create woman.

Understanding science and the prophecy unlocks the mystery. Intense bursts of radiation cause rapid mutation. An intense burst of radiation might be induced by a solar nova, as described by Isaiah, who told us that the sun would get seven times brighter.
Each "day" is the day that the event that spawned new life forms occurred. It took billions of years for God to create everything on this planet, with rapid changes occurring after previous solar flares and subsequent mutations. The mutations that work survive, and the ones that don't die out. There's tons of scientific evidence that shows this. They just don't know what the trigger to the changes is.
Of course it's "acts of nature," or God, and God also warned us about those little solar flare ups, so we could prepare for them when it's really time to. If we don't, then we will be burned to a crisp or mutated if we survive.
That's how we know for sure that there is a God. God tells us the future and us the past accurately, if you can take it in chunks.
Regards,
Chris

No. Evolution, by definition, refers to a process whereby the genome of living organisms undergoes continuous random changes, some of which may be acted upon by natural selection. Hence there can be no intention or direction involved, by definition.
You could have a hypothesis which says that a god is making all the changes to the genome, but then that couldn't be called evolution, it would have to be called something else - continuous creation, or something like that.

The two aren't particularly compatible for one oft-confusing reason....or at least confusing to those with slow-working minds:
If you are willing to accept evolution at all, then you have already dismissed part of the traditional christian teachings in the face of reason.... thus you have absolutely no reason not to continue doing so considering that the rest of the scientific findings regarding the deep geological past are equally consistant and make more sense than something which cannot possibly be tested to confirm any consistency nor validity whatsoever.
Oh, and we didn't just "come from" apes; we still ARE apes.
If you want to know more, feel free to message me. I have a BSc in Palaeobiology, so it is my business to know about such things.

The whole transition thing is not proven and has so many holes in it that no one looks at it is pathetic. I have no real faith that evolution as it is put forward is at all real.
We should have new and newer forms of all creatures all around us if it were true. We don't. what we have are species we breed or make and those in the wild dieing. When it comes to viruses and bacteria they are put forward as evidence when in fact they are mostly just inadvertent breeding programs created by or intervention with medicines that kill of those that have no resistance to that medicine.
I'll stick with the Bible until they can prove it wrong. They have not.

For you to accept both the bible and the evolution theory, you will have to look at the bible metaphorically, rather than literally..
Look at the seven days of creation as not literal 24 hour days, but maybe as ages.. or eras..
No one can help you find your faith. You will have to ask yourself whether the story of creation is really important to you, and if it makes any difference one way or another.
I'm not a Christian. I am a Hindu, and though Hinduism has its own story of Genesis, i haven't come across a single hindu who takes it literally. Infact hardly anyone considers Hindu mythology as literal facts, but rather as moral guides.
You start questioning your faith, only if you believe your scriptures to be historical/factual recordings. Frankly speaking, most of them aren't. So rather than try to fish for the facts, accept them for their value- describing to you what your religion means, and what are the guidelines by which you should live, and an attempt at describing the nature of God..

The only place evolution is seen is in human affairs, and it is found nowhwere else. For evolution to be a fact,it would have to be a countinuing process. A look out your window can prove evolution to be a lie. Man however does evolve into more and more depravity.

Of course, that is possible. Personally, I don't beieve in any type evolution. But many have suggested what you are talking about. I think that we, in our lifetimes, will never know for sure. But I also think that the so-called process of evolution will never be proven because it didn't happen.
Funny thing though about this is that whatever is proven or disproven as to the distqant past, what difference will it make? None.
God Bless

I've thought about this myself a few times and wondered the same thing.I'm sure some species certainly evolved in order to adapt to the conditions around them.
