Sometimes I get the feeling my friend likes me, but I keep telling myself it's not possible. Whenever he sees me he smiles - a proper, face-lighting-up smile. He sometimes smiles at me across the room for no particular reason. When we're walking somewhere he walks really close to me, but I might be imagining that. He'll often sit next to me, either when we're at friends' houses or at church (where I know him from). Recently he's started apologising if he doesn't sit with me - saying things like 'I've just got to go and talk to ...' when I'd made no mention of him sitting with me. I talk to him a lot, and sometimes he asks me questions like when my birthday is. He tells me a lot about himself and his family, and has confided in me when he's had problems with one of his friends. He'll always talk to me when he sees me, and sometimes I get the impression he's trying to be close to me or coming to things because he knows I'll be there. He's shy so it's hard to tell what he's thinking.

Well, I don't know your ages, but it sounds like he is intrigued by you, and very well does like you. You must be very careful, however, not to suddenly come on like you're steady dates, or he'll run. (If he's shy, he will flip at a strong approach). Enjoy his company (if you like him back), and let things progress....

If a guy tells you a lot of things about him, that's an obvious sign that he's interested with you. Why not try to be close friends with him.I know girls like to be treated like princessess,i know he'll give you the care that you need. You might have feelings for him too.You need to discover that, but try to know him better first.

he is very honest about the warmth he feels for you.
I can see your point, that mis-reading his intention would create an uncomfortable situation.
perhaps it's worth noting that it is you he is giving attention to.
are you trying to decide if love should be something that will shine through and flower of it's own accord?
you should be enjoying the uncertainty of youth. later on, things such as where is the money coming from can intrude and test your resolve.
