Unfortunately hypothyroidism is something that, although treatable, has some definite "issues" as the thyroid controls the metabolism. One is the weight issue the other is the energy issue. A low carb and high protein diet seems to be the best bet to stabilize weight gain and increase energy levels. The more you can force yourself to be physical, the better off you are. Make sure you get plenty of sleep. Good luck.

Hi,

Would you consider a detox? It will be helpful for your thyroid problem and will also get rid of your problem of feeling tired and hungry all the time.

And the detox is simple. All you need to do is three things.

Number one, follow the detox programme which requires you to change your diet a little bit. Eg, take more vege and less meat and seafoods.

Number two, use 1 minute a day to take some natural health foods that I take to enhance the speed and the effect of the detox.

Number three, drink lots of water to flush the toxins out..

And that's it.

The rest is up to you.

So what do you think? ;)

If you are keen to find out more about my detox programme, you can email me at verityy@yahoo.com.

If you are still tired, then its a couple of things that it could be. Your TSH may be too high. Most feel best with a MORNING TSH around 1.0. Another reason could be that you need both T4 and T3. You are curently taking T4. Taking a T4?t3 medication made a huge difference for me, as it has for so many people. T3 helps symptoms such as fatigue, hairloss, depression, and muscle and joint aches. Below are some links that relate to labs and to T4/T3.

my mom had a hyperactive one. she took meds for it and then became hypoactive (like you). she went back to the doctor and got a lighter prescrip and now shes fine.

it takes time to work and for your hormones to adjust to the meds. so be patient. if it still lasts, go back to the doctor and tell him.

make sure youre eating healthy. dont overeat though. and exercise should help too.
