why do people always say bad things to fat people

Generally because people aren't nice

Because in our brains, back in the part that is decended from wild animals and relies on instinct, fat equals unhealthy. Decades ago, a size twelve was considered an ideal weight. For some strange reason, we now consider a person fit only if they are morbidly underweight. The primitive part of our brains still tell us that a fat person is unhealthy, and therefore not a valuable member of society, but somehow the definition of fat has been extended to anyone who doesnt look like they are about to die from malnutrition. Somehow, we need to change our definition of healthy or beautiful, but frankly, I dont know how. One person at a time I guess.

Some people are both cruel and ignorant. They prey on real (or perceived) insecurities without realising the harm they may cause to the victims of their taunts.
If this goes on in a workplace, are there not Anti-Bullying and Harrassment policies to prevent these occurrences? If not organisational based, are these not enshrined in legislation (ie, discimination etc)
Cruel things are said about many people, not just those who may be overweight.
I know of someone who has a speech impediment. This type of impediment is regularly mocked and trivialised in the media, yet nothing is done to prevent broadcasters from behaving in this manner.
Overall. education, tolerance and acceptance is what is required.

People are jealous that some fat people are comfortable with their size and aren't continually starving themselves.
Who wants to live on a diet any way?

because there trying to better them self's when in fact its them with a problem not the fat person.that person who is saying bad things wishes they were like them all happy an haven fun because there not so what do hey do. they try an bring the other person down to there level to make them feel as bad as them .if life was perfect we'd all be boring...

I guess by people you mean the so called "normal people". Normal people hate anything different fat,thin,black,white or green its called prejudice. the world would be very boring if we were all the same, You are what you are just let it be.
