My father is from Holland and when I was little he would make me toast with peanut butter and honey. It was practically the only thing I would eat. I am incredibly picky so the peanut butter must be creamy and then I drizzle honey all over. Sometimes I'll use butter instead of peanut butter.
I used to eat Eggs Benedict every Sunday at this place called Sittons in N. Hollywood, CA and they have the best cinnamon and toast. They used sourdough bread but you could use what ever you like but if you can go with the sourdough do so. But before you pop the bread in the toaster you butter it, then sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Pop it in the toaster and yummy.

Baked beans, finely chopped garlic and butter, melted Emmental cheese with Saucisson de Cotes du Rhone and that classic - Patum Peperium, beloved of battle hardened officers in the SAS. Enjoy!

Egg or marmalade or honey or just butter, depending on the time of day and the mood I'm in.

I don't usually have toast, as the wholemeal bread I get is too good as it is.
But when I do have it, I love either toasted cheese (Welsh rabbit), or Yeast Extract (like Marmite).

Bovril, chicken flavoured or beef! Patum Peparium (gentlemens' relish), Black Forest Ham, erm - sometimes brown sauce - all with salad leaves and caraway seeds! Mmm. I can still taste them. More in my lunch box!
