Diifficult to say,
My flatmate & I both work full time & the agreement when we moved in together was he'd cook & I'd clean. (He's a chef but useless @ wiping the side down).
OTOH: His brother works full time & his bro's girlf stays @ home & looks after their 3 under 3's (twin 2yr olds & a 1yr old). So, when he gets home she expects him to help with the chores. My m8 thinks this is unfair but I realise how much hard work she must do running round after the 3 youngsters.

Not necessarily. This would depend on who will be the bread winner of the family. If the guy would be so then , the wife would do majority of the household chores or the other way around.

if you both work or both dont work than its only fair to share the duties equally. If only one works then the other should do more but the one who works should still help out wen they can

Yes, unless one of them doesn't have a job. The one without the job should do most if not all the chores.

eih nowadays we always talk about equality and song the same amount of household chores is one of them..yes, they should compromise and agree to do the equal housekeeping jobs..it's one way of developing your sense of responsibility..
