I'm using an excel spreadsheet,everytime I use the arrows to move across the page, the formula is coming up

the formula , ie (a4+b4) is coming up in the box and the outline is flashing....what button do I need to press to stop it.??

I hit scroll lock, that seems to have worked, thanks anyway

I think you are in the mode where you are editing an equation in one of the cells. To get out of it click in the box at the top and press enter to accept the formula.

You need to hit "enter" when you've put the formula in, otherwise that's what happens.
