Do you really have to or can you stop to save your marrige. There are now days great things to help stop smoking. Look online and see. My friend was smoking because of stress got hooked for about 2 years and then took this medicine and now she doesn't. It might help. But the last thing you want to do is hide it from him. and if you can't stop take some perfume and spray it right before you come in, goood luck

If he is a non-smoker you need to realize that he can immediately smell the smoke on your clothing, hair, skin, and breath. You will never be able to mask it. The odor is offensive enough to many non-smokers that they will begin to avoid you. I have relatives that smoke and I love them dearly, but we just cannot be around them. We are very sensitive to the odor. My husband has asthma and just a hint of cigarette smoke on someones clothing can trigger the asthma. The smell can also trigger nausea, thus the reason for avoidance. I don't know if your husband is that sensitive or not, but if he is than there is a chance he will start to avoid you. Honestly, if something was making you feel physically ill would you want to be around it? But, what if it is a person you love? He's mad at you because he loves you and feels you are keeping the two of you apart because you want to smoke. What can he do?
If you make him physically ill and refuse to stop smoking, this leaves him a difficult spot too. Your smoking isn't just about you anymore . . it is affecting your marriage.

Unfortunately, people who are addicted to smoking cannot quit without a great deal of effort. Unless you want to stop for your husbands sake, you probably won't. You may need to go to marriage counseling at some point to sort this out.

You do need to be honest with him. And you both may need to make some difficult choices in the future.

Good luck to you. It's going to be rocky.

You can't hide it.
If you smoke a non smoker can still smell it on your clothes hair etc.
If you can manage to not smoke at home you can probably give it up altogether.
Good luck
