Debug error in Nero?

A friend of mine is trying to burn of a dvd of family photos. He is using Nero, and every time he gets to the end of doing the dvd is comes up with a debug error. No matter what he presses, all that happens is that he loses all his work and is back to square one....

Anyone got any ideas?

Is the dvd DRM protected? else get the latest version of nero

try burning at a slower speed
try update the dvd-rom firmware
try a different brand of dvd
try burn the source to ISO file. then burn this ISO file onto a DVD.
