No, it just slows down a lot and tends to break easily. I went quite some time without trimming my hair and it was quite slow in getting longer. When I started taking off about 1/2 an inch every 2 months or so, the health and length improved rapidly. Hope this helps!!

I have hair down to my behind and I am 5 foot 11 inches.
There was a period of time that I did not trim my hair at all. And it kept growing!!!
The only thing is you will get dead dry hair, especially on the ends if you don't trim. If you don't trim at least make sure to condition the tips of your hair.

Hair is growing from the hair follicle which is embedded in the skin.By trimming the free end of the hair will not stop growing it.

No that's not true at all, and it's also not true that it will make your hair grow slower...infact if you keep trimming your hair your never going to get it long....my hair grows really fast, it's not very long now but it used to be down to my waist , i grew it to that length over a period of two years and i never had it trimmed.

No, it doesn't stop growing, but the ends may be so damaged that it doesn't grow fast enough to do more than replace what breaks off, if that much.

No. Hair grows from the roots, not the ends.

It doesn't stop growing, but it will eventually get to a maximum lenght due to it only staying attached for a set amount of time
