Find another Dr. immediately. Birth control pills does not cure PCOS. If anything when some women take birth control and stop, their periods may become irregular. I had irregular periods and I took the herb Vitex (cost $7.50 a bottle) and my period has been normal ever since. Click on links below and Read the information. Hopefully this can help you.

I too have PCOS. I am on birth control to regulate my period so that I have a period regularly. Apparently, if you don't have a period at least every 3 months than you run a higher risk of uterine cancer. I also go and get acupuncture and have chinese herbs to help with the other symptoms of PCOS. These symptoms such as weight gain, headaches, cysts etc. I was nearly diagnosed with menopause at 20. Attached is a site which my mother sent me. If you need to chat about it than you can email me. By the way the more you play with the pill the more irratic periods you will get because your body doesn't know what it is doing. I am staying on the pill until I want a family.

ok take a deep breath. First it may take a month or 2 on your physique to get used to the pill, and grow to be regulated and issues will possibly no longer pass as you assume. Now 2 issues which could help, one call your wellbeing care expert and only ask. 2d in the experience that your wellbeing care expert gave you a pattern of delivery administration then there is an techniques sheet included and this would supply you some stable techniques. additionally, do to the internet web page for the delivery administration you're on...this would in specific situations inform you if what you're experiencing is customary.

The hormones in the pill regulate your period. If you dont have a period, the lining can build up in your uterus and could become cancerous.

A while back, my Dr took a biopsy(very painful) of my (either cervix or) uterus and I had too thick of lining. He put me on a progesterone(hormone) to help me shed that excess lining.

If you arent trying to get pregnant, stay on the pill.

Good luck.

there is no cure for PCOS. The pill just helps to regulate the hormonal fluctuation you have.
