if you go to scheduler, you can create your own schedule and perform the manual scans yourself..good luck!

step by step, go to Test Center, then Scheduler on the left side, then you can either click Edit, and change the schedule or Remove for the Test or Update part.

to perform the test yourself, Under Edit Schedule, uncheck the part where it says "periodically start antivirus test"

Right click your AVG icon on bottom toolbar and select "Launch AVG test centre" Click "Scheduler" to bring up "scheduled tests" Click "Test plan in basic mode" then press "Edit Schedule" Untick "Periodically start scheduled antivirus test" then press OK. You wont get it starting automatically anymore and can go to your icon and check manually when you want. The "Next Start" will say "disabled" You can also disable "Updates" in the same way. Hope this helps.

you need to UNinstall it and purchase a stable software. it rather is that in case you extremely like your computing device and the guidance on it. "You get what you pay for." occasion is actual one among the respond right here which you will possibly might desire to start your computing device after 9:00? No way you need to use a software that doesn't allow you to make/substitute settings. McAfee is the suited. Norton works yet is a reminiscence hog plus different issues. i've got been engaged on/with laptop computing device for 2 many years so i understand.

HI. I have the same problem. I think the only way we can change the scanning to manual is by getting the 'pro' version of AVG. I cant seem to find any other way of doing it. If you do find the answer, please email me and let me know.....

There's something you can do quite simply - go to the scheduling area and schedule a time you have the 'puter switched off. I won't scan.
