I can tell you I have tried everything, and I have 140 pounds to lose. Try MERIDIA diet pills, only a doctor can prescribe them for you. NOTHING over the counter really works, and is not good for you, they are full of Guarana which is a form of ephedrine, NOT good for your heart, or caffeine, also not a good feeling. Anything over the counter is a waste of your money. Believe that. You get NO jittery feeling, sleeplesness, and you dont feel like you just snorted a line of speed. They come in 3 strengths, try the lesser of the three (i think 10mg or 15 mg) they are expensive, but for only 30 days, you will do extremely well. They give you just enough energy to want to move more (exercise like walking), just enough appetite supressant to eat less, but healthy. I guarantee you will like this medication. Expect to pay about $120 for a 30 day supply, but that is really not that much compared to todays prices on everything. Your insurance may or may not cover this, but your worth it right ? You may want to get only a 14 day supply, and have one every other day ( I swear I didnt feel like I needed one EVERY day, they were long acting for me so I could get aaway with every other day-plus your stomach is shrinking so you feel hungry less), I did this to save money, and they worked really really well for me, stopped me from overeating and I did lose weight, because I felt full fast, and had no desire to eat more than the required portions of whatever I was eating. but Im a more severe case so I need surgery at this point. I swear to you this is the best way to go for you since you only have 20 lbs to lose. I'll bet you lose this 20 lbs in less than 5 weeks AT MOST because u will be exercising and drinking water (you will be thirsty but not severly so it will be natural to want to drink water, which is GOOD ( I have to force myself to drink water if im not taking the Meridia) thats only one month and a few days if you look at it like that, me...I have a year or more to go, so feel lucky and try my suggestion. Good Luck, stay healthy, and know that any other medication like phentermine, adipex, or other prescribed diet pills will make you crawl the walls, run in circles accomplishing nothing cause you will be high as a kite, foaming at the mouth, you wont sleep, and you will be frazzled from the effects. MERIDIA DOES NOT GIVE YOU THIS EFFECT.

You say you are NOW scared for your health. You then say you will start your fitness plan in the future-on Monday. You've gained the weight over six months. You say you now want to take it off in six weeks. Are you getting the feeling you may be a little inconsistent in your goals? If you feel sure you know why you've gained this amount of weight and it's not related to some kind of dysfunction, then I have a suggestion. Forget the over the counter pills. Forget the processed foods. To properly function and STAY healthy, your body must stay alkaline. Any kind of pill or preservative turns your body acid. Germs LOVE acidic environments. They can't live in chalk. Repeat--they can't live in chalk. The ideal PH balance (about 7.3) will keep you feeling strong and energetic. Near 7.3 is also the point at which your pancreatic enzymes and proteins do their job. They function within a narrow range, and, among other things, are responsible for holding cell reproduction in check (anyone familiar with the term "cancer"?). If they didn't kick in on the precise day they do in developing babies (exactly the same day for all), all babies would be moon-sized by the time they were born. If your body feels sluggish and you want to rev up your metabolism, the best thing you can do is follow this regimen. Get a list of alkalai and acid-burning foods. Some of all is okay, but stay focused on the alkaline foods. Soybeans shut down the effects of pancreatic enzymes, so stay away from them. Eat small portions of healthy, whole foods about 5 or 6 times a day. Drink a LOT of orange juice (try for 1/2 gallon a day) with a lime squeezed into the juice, and to very quickly get your body to an alkaline balance (orange juice may seem acid, but it burns alkalai in your body). Purchase ph-testing tape at the health-food store (approx. $14. Cheaper than diet drugs). Use it. Get BeneFiber and begin using it. Most people are carrying approximately 10 pounds of waste material in their colons (yes, ten pounds)! These three steps alone are responsible for cleaning, energizing, immunizing and charging up your body and metabolism. If you're eating once or twice a day, your metabolism slows waaay down, your body thinks you're going through a famine and orders itself to hold on to all food and trash that comes in, for as long as possible, and it's taught itself to do that for millions of years. Twenty pounds is a reachable weight loss goal with this way of life, and if you decide what you really want RIGHT NOW and are willing TODAY to stick with it, you can do this.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

I found a great way to lose weight fast and keep it off. I do body cleansing. I lost 13 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. Cleansing will help the body get rid of impurities. Impurites come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives etc. The impurities get stored in the fat in our body. To shrink the fat, we have to get rid of the impurities by cleansing. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. To learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. Cleansing was good for me. Good luck whatever you decide to do!

I would go for the detoxification idea. Think holistic and long term. When you are overweight, it is not just weight problems that you have to be concerned about per se. It is the toxins (plus the fat cells) that can cause many health problems.
If you go on a detox diet, you will lose weight and your body rebalances itself. Having said that, there are plenty of detox diets that you can choose from. More than one method exist. The important thing is to choose the one that you feel comfortable in doing.

Just avoid snacks between meals. Ive honestly lost 10 pounds in two weeks like that. Keep apples around the house, if you must have a snack they are a health alternative.
Dont try anything else. Most drastic diets, and pills fail becaus people give up after they don't yeald reults. If you continue to gain wait rapidly, see a doctor.

I answered with this in another post - pills will not be a substitute for a good workout routine and diet. They can however lend a hand and will help get you started, and give you some energy to get to the gym. My mother used the pills in the link below - and while she lost weight (and said it was from them) she also stopped eating junk food and started going to the gym a few days a week!
