Lately I've been starting to have strong feelings for my best friend. We both knew that we liked each other several months ago, but nothing ever happened. Now my feelings for her are becoming more intense, but I don't know what her feelings for me are now. I want to have a relationship with her, but I don't want to ruin our friendship or make things awkward.

Thinking about this is keeping me up at night. I feel like I need to say something, but I don't know what I should say. I don't want to make her uncomfortable, because I truly care for her and don't want make her feel like our friendship will be over if she doesn't like me too. Should I say something, or should I keep my mouth shut? If I should say something, what should I tell her?

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I was in love with my best friend and I told her. We had a fun yet awkward relationship for a few weeks, but we have gone back to normal now. Basically, good friends are friends no matter what. If youre ok with continuing a strictly platonic relationship if she doesnt reciprocate your feelings, it will be all right. Not to sound sappy but friends are the most precious thing you can have and if they cant survive a little sex or sexual tension, then the bond wasnt that great to begin with. Long story short, tell her. If you dont, you will just be miserable. If she says she likes you too, awesome. If not, make sure she knows that you can accept that and still be friends.
As for what to say, only you can decide the best way to tell her. In my situation, I did a few shots of tequila, took a xanax and just said Im in love with you. I... wouldnt suggest that approach. Good luck, dude.

No use in keeping your feelings bottled up and spraying all the contents one day at the wrong moment !! or worse, never saying it and making your life miserable.

Best thing to do, which I may suggest will be to tell her whatever you feel about her. If you are sure you are best friends, the she would understand. After that best of luck.....!

You are going through the initial pangs of unrequited love. If you keep your mouth shut, it will eat you alive. Tell her that you love her. Whatever she says or whatever happens to your relationship no matter what she feels, your feelings are not going away.
