I don't know about global warming being a reason for baning smoking but yes it prob ought to be band.

However it simply isn't feasible, reason being that sooooooo many people smoke that an oughtright ban would create a HUGE!!!! public uproar. Also people do have the right to make a living and if tobacco production was banned a LOT! of inocent people would be jobless right away!

There are many things that hammper the cutting down or even compleate ban of tobaco production. I'm an ex smoker that can't seem to COMPLEATLY give up, i'll have a pack every now and then, stop for months and then have another pack and so on and so on! I wish they would ban the stuff!

I think smoking in public places is a good thing. Like restaurants and things like that. But some places take it to the extreme, like bars and clubs. I think those places it should be allowed and should be expected. If I'm taking my family to a restaurant then yea, I don't want smoking around. But if I'm going to a bar I expect to be around smoke. I think parks and outdoor areas are a bit much also. If it's outdoors who cares. I don't think smoking can be contributed to global warming though. If it is it's a very small fraction of everything else like cars and factories. I don't really see much difference in smoking and other drugs like marijuana. If people want to do it and risk their health let them.

I don't smoke, but I definitely don't think it should be banned. People should be allowed to do whatever they want to themselves. In public places and around children, yes it shouldn't be allowed. But on your own property I don't care if you smoke a carton a day, thats your choice.
Smoking has far less impact on global warming then big business or automobiles. You produce far more CO2 by driving around in a day than a pack of cigarettes.

LOL - like smoking is the cause of global warming.

Anyway, no, smoking should not be banned. I ban smoking in my car, in my home, and on my land, but that's it. I dont' want to be around someone when they are smoking, nor immediately after it (Oh - what a wretched smell!!!!). But everyone has a right to harm themselves how they want to. I have bad habits that irritate and/or hurt others - I dont' want them to be banned. I would vote YES to ban cigar smoking, simply because that smell is WAY worse than cigs, but smoke all the pot you want around me - the smell is nice - I dont' mind the smell of meth burning either, though I don't care for the negative effects it can have on one's life.

i dont see what smoking has to do with global warming, if thats your main argument you might as well ban, stoves and microwaves, and fire in general, but still other than global warming, no i dont think smoking should be banned

I dont think of this in the same fashion as you do. Back before I started smoking then I would say that cigerettes should've been banned. Now I think almost the same thing. I believe that cigerette smoking is the killer of over 50% of humans in this decade alone. I am a smoker (as you can tell) and I think cigerettes should be outlawed, and marijuana be legalized. God Bless.

No. I believe that people have the right to kill themselves, just not anyone else. It should be banned in public, outdoors and indoors. People should not be allowed to smoke in cars either. When I'm at a red light and the jerk next to me is smoking with the windows down, I have to roll mine up.

Smoking should only be allowed in ones own home or property, and only if the smoker can keep the smoke on his own property and not have it affect his neighbors. Also, if people have children, they should not be allowed to smoke in the home or car. If they do, it should be considered child abuse. As a concession, perhaps we can set aside isolated outdoor spaces where people can smoke, provided they are kept at least 200-300 feet away from everyone else.

So while I disagree with you in principle, in most situations it would not be allowed. And I would put the drug addicted lawbreakers in prison. Anyone exposing others to their secondhand smoke is committing assault, and possibly attempted murder. Possibly even murder if someone breathing their smoke drops dead of a heart attack or contracts lung cancer from long-term exposure.

Yes. I think it should be banned. I agree with your theory of global warming. Also less polution, and lower risk of upper respiratory problems. It is already banned in FL's restaurants - no smoking has been adopted in many public places and I think it should stay that way.

no, ...it is a legal substance and the government has no business telling people that they cannot use this substance..it is an infringement on a persons private life and personal choice.......just as drinking alcohol beverages.......
