I've been using the program before and it's just now that I'm experiencing this problem. I've encountered the same before with other programs but my computer back then was really multitasking, and the simple yet effective remedy that I did was to restart my computer. Now, that doesn't seem to work. I've also tried reinstalling the program and it didn't work as well. Could it be that I am already lacking space in my hard drive? After defragmenting, my hard drive still has more than 10G left. I think my RAM is 128MB as displayed when I boot my PC. Please help me! Thanks in advance!

Okay, so I made a mistake. I checked on my specs and my RAM is not 128, it's 512. That's enough right? And I reiterate that I had been using the software before, and I had also been editing videos which leaves me with no problem with speed. It's just now that I'm having this trouble. And additional info, my HD is 160G. I just have a lot of stuff in it so I only have 10G left.

I've already tried cleaning up my disk and defragmenting, by they didn't work. I'd like to believe that this has something to do with the bunch of processes going on in my PC, that I don't know what for. Can someone tell me what to do with this?

Nah...

Photoshop CS has an installer bug that complains about RAM if not installed properly. Go to Adobe and download the fix.

Even though it will work, 128mb of RAM to run photoshop is rediculous. It will take you 10 minutes to get it to start, but it will.

Photoshop sees your address space as virtual memory, in the 32 bit world, thats the total allotment of 2gb user and 2gb system. The system pages in virtual memory (or the balance set) from the hard disk page file to make up for insufficient working set storage, or RAM.

not enough RAM doesn't signify hard drive space......you could have 40 GB free on your hard drive & still get the same problem.
You need to add at least another 128 MB RAM.....get someone to do it if u don't know how.
Also if u have some useless processes running in the background, kill them after you start your pc. Ctrl-Alt-Del & click on Processes.

get some more ram!!!!! you prob. have a bunch of stuff running in the background as well. seriously, even doubling your memory will ease your system resources greatly.

run a spyware killer like adaware SE as well. u might have spyware on your system that is hogging your RAM.

also, if u can, get a bigger hard drive. 120GB should do u just fine. and u can easily get one for under $100.

probubly because theres is "not enough ram". PhotoShop requires a lot. Ram is not internal memory, thats archived memory. Ram is random access memory, its different, and runs directly off the motherboard.

if you got windows xp, xp needs atleast 512 mb to actually function correctly. you should find out the type and pinns of your ram. and get some new ones from

www.overclockers.co.uk
www.ebuyer.co.uk
www.dabs.co.uk
or good old : www.ebay.co.uk

dont go to pcworld. there a total rip off!

dear 128 is too less, if it is sd ram it should be 512, if ddr 256 is required to run your OS and photoshop together
