So the tender skin doesn't sunburn or snow burn so easily.
Any pink skin on a dog will sunburn.

Hi, well not all dogs have black lips, some pink, brown.
It depends on the breed of your dog and the colour of the dog.
White bull-terriers have white/pink lips.
Normally when the dog is a dark colour, the lips will be dark or reflecting the colour of the dog.

not all do, those that have liver coloured noses will usually have livered coloured lips and eyeliner as well
