Very turned off by churches where i live and do not go out that much...

You should find out where people go that have similar interest in what you like to do. It will be easier to make new friends when you have things in common for example:
You could try volunteering at community centers , get a dog and take him to a park where others take their dogs, join a cooking class, check with your local hospital allot of times they have all kinds of classes and groups. I joined a nutrition class at the local Kaiser , I learned allot, lost some weight and made lots of friends.
When you get out there be confident and have a positive attitude :)

Try going out more, get involved in something, it doesn't have to be a church group or anything. I don't even think this is an issue just with plus size women. A lot of women plus size or not have this same issue. As for the bf, let it be. One will come when the time is right.

its all about attitude!! stop wondering how and just do it! I know plenty of plus sized women and men who have these very outgoing personalities and have tons of people eating out of their hands! If you dont think you can develop attitude then just try online sites. Myspace, match.com etc. Try to find other local groups in your area. Whatever you do, just put yourself out there for the world to see and hear and love!! And the most important thing..is be positive! People dont like negative people or people who put themselves down, that is a major turn off!

To find friends and / or boyfriend you are going to have to go out. You could try volunteering with a hospital or charity or some other organization. Join a social organization. The more contacts you have with people the more friends you will acquire. Smile, be friendly and show your wonderful personality. Everything else will fall in line.

why does it matter that you're plus size? Meet someone just like every else does. Do you have any friends who can introduce you to someone..or meet people at work

it should not matter what you look like to make friends.
but people are real jackholes and judge people who are not perfect. and the most annoying are the things they assume about you personally.
i guess all i can say is be yourself and a true friend won't judge you.
don't be afraid, get out there no matter what.
dance like no one is watching and live your life to the fullest.

ummm...... wat ppl look out for is personality....
u can get a bf if u wish to find one...provided the guy agrees to have a plus size woman as his gf...if he's not ready to show u to his frends...u have betta leave him !
