That's not babysitting! That's DAYCARE! He should pay you about $200 per week.

Also, be sure that you agree about how you are paid. He may want to try to deduct the money he pays you as a childcare expense on his taxes. If he does, you will ned to report the money as income.

Good Luck!

Reasonable Price For Babysitting

I babysit for a living and I charge $15 a day for an average 8 hour day per child, but this is on a 5 days a week basis. If just casually sitting, I would ask for $4 an hour. It is reasonable and affordable,as well as making you some extra cash :)

Depends on how close you all are, what he can afford, and how bad you need the money. He can put his child in daycare for a little over 100 a week. See what he can afford and see if that amount will help you. I wouldn't do it for 50 a week, but maybe 100 a week. If it was a friend then I would charge less. Either way it's not a lot of money 100 a week would only be 2.5 an hour, but just see what he can afford.

Depends what part of the country you're in. You can ask your parents how the cost of living where you are compares to the rest of the country. Also, how much money do your neighbors have? Let's look at their alternatives, and you can price your services accordingly. Where I live (and the cost of living is fairly low here), summer day camp for a school aged child for about 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, is about $150. This breaks down to $30 a day, or $5 an hour. I think $10 per hour for two children is reasonable for you, especially if you plan to do lots of activities with them (and not let them veg in front of the TV). When we have a babysitter for our 5-year-old, we give her about $7 per hour.

If you have degree in childcare then you can ask for 15 an hr . if you got no degrees the fee for babysitting is and depend on the age . under 20 years old is 9. 15 hr . over 20 years of age then 12.25hr
Than after 6pm what ever you like to charge .

I babysit, and here are my rates:

My Rates

1-2 kids ~ $5.00/hour
Each additional child ~ $1.25/hour

*When you are babysitting a baby under 10 months old, you should ask to be paid a bit more than your regular charge, since you must give more attention, change the baby, feed the baby, and put the baby to bed.

Have Fun!
