I am a wife and mother of 2 so I can't drink and get drunk. Or anything like that. But love some of the drinks they serve at the bar. Anyone know what kind of drinks I could make with low alcohol in them? Like Strawberry & peach daqari's (spelling?) I would use whote rum? But how would I mix it to make a very, very low alcohol intake, but enough for taste? And any other nice drinks with low alcohol if you know of any?

My friends like to get together on saturdays but we all have kids so low alcohol and would like to know some drinks to make for then too.

Thank you for any answers!

I like a fuzzy navel, it's just orange juice and peach scnapps, or there are a lot of drinks that you can make with liqueres instead of liquor and they are very tasty. Like kaluha and cream. Go to webtender.com for lots of ideas.

If the chicks wanna party, let the daddy's' watch the kids. People drink alcohol to get high or drunk. It is pretty simple. One 'light' drink is enough to fail a breath test, i.e. person is drunk.
If y'all can drink in moderation, then sip wine coolies or fruity drinks with umbrellas. Get one of them books How to make drinks, cut the alcohol in 1/2 and that is the answer, once you have two of the half drinks, that is where the being with kids gets to a point of reckless endangerment.
No child wants to see there mommy drunk. People can be very mean or sloppy when drunk. even light drinks make a person drunk.
That is the cold shot of reality. When it hits,it hits hard and the pain doesn't go away after the hangover has ended.

Since you seem to be talking about home get-togethers where you'll be making the drinks yourself, you can easily limit the amount of alcohol you use. Many of the blended drinks (like daiquiris or margaritas) are especially easy to make with a refreshing, enjoyable taste and limited alcohol. You might also want to try amaretto sours.
Those are good, too, either blended or on the rocks. And you could always try developing a taste for the virgin version.

in cocktails there is almost always something like
1 shot of vodka
and 1 shot of red vok

or 1 shot of vodka
1 shot of peach snhapps

and what not..

so what i do when i know i cant get too wasted, is instead of having 1 shot of vodka and 1 shot of the vok or shnaps or whatever, i just skip the vodka (or the rum or gin or whatever) and just have the flavouring alcohol
and the flavoring alcohol is only usually 17% alcohol apposed to vodka being 37% so its much much less.

my favourite drink is the fruit tingle cocktail
here is what you need

lemonade
red cordial
blue vok
ice cubes

put ice cubes in a tall glass
add blue vok
pour in lemonade and at the same time pour in about 2 shots of red cordial

this drink is so yum.
the best ever!
