In the bible seeing the fortune or anything like that is forbidden but what if you dream about events and the events came true? Would that be a sin.

No, because you didn't cause those dreams. If you are a believer, then you must believe that dreams come from God. He wants you to see things.

everybody dreams. It's perfectly healthy and actually if you are not allowed to dream, you get sick. This was done in experiments. When people dream they follow the action around with their eyes - REM or rapid eye movement. You might have seen your dog or cat do this. Usually dreaming of hunting - what else?

In the research, scientists watched and woke the subjects up every time they went into REM sleep, with the result that they got pretty irritable.

NO HUMBLE SIMPLE MAN, I see from your other posts that you are indeed simple, but not particularly humble. Sins are intentional. If it is not intentional it's not a sin.

But just because you dream something, it doesn't mean it's from God. After all, most people have pretty horrific nightmares at times! Maybe a devil puts them there, or maybe Freud was right, and all this stuff happens for perfectly sensiblbe reasons.

Tho, I will say this. WHY we dream is still a big mystery. There are some theories, but none very strong. So, while this activity has no apparent scientific purpose, I guess we can all speculate on its meaning.

I'm very interested in dreams and their meaning too. You are lucky to have ones that seem to tell you something valuable.

If anyone wants to talk about dreams and dreaming, drop me a line (email). All welcome. No, I'm not a divinator or seance type person - just someone curious about the kinds of stuff people dream

You know, you'd think that, but then David and Joseph were favoured by God and had prophetic dreams. There are many instances in the Bible where someone favoured by God had something close to supernatural going on.

But if you use these dreams for evil purposes, then God gets pretty angry about it. Using your psychic powers to exploit, manipulate, or just plain old bully other people into what you want them to do (like give you their savings, etc.), that would be a sin.

Use your gift to help and enhance the lives of others. This should please God.

Having dreams about fortunes or wealth is not a sin. Remember how Solomon asked for wisdom and God came to Him in a dream and told him not only was he going to give him wisdom, but richly bless him. It has always been the desire of God to richly bless His people if they do what is right with it. If God is showing you that financial wealth is coming you way and it comes to pass, then it is not a sin. As long as it is God. Most of the believers who are in tune with God know it is their season to prosper greatly. So financial prosperity should not be a surprise.

no it's not a sin. it's a coincidence, or maybe god intended for you to see that in your dreams. i don't think PREDICTING the future is a sin (after all, God worked through Joseph a lot, and Joseph i think read tea leaves when he was working with the pharaoh), but i think manipulating people into thinking that something will without a doubt happen, and not putting your faith and trust in what god has planned for you - i think that's the bad thing about fortune telling.

Come on - the bible is a book written by men. Most of the time - horribly corrupt men.

If you truly beleive you are "sinning" by dreaming about things - then you should seek help. But you probably just need to truly think about your religion. Ask questions - serious questions and don't take "you just need to have faith" as an answer.

My sleep is drug induced to treat my insomnia and anxiety, so when I sleep I get some very vivid and kind of different dreams and none of them are ever true, however we are not responsible for what we dream about because we are asleep, so I don't think it is a sin if we just dream something.

Dreaming is different from fortune telling. Fortune telling is done by inviting evil spirits to talk to you.
If a dream is from God then it is not a dream. It is rather a vision. It will never lose its sharpness. But if it is from the devil, then it cannot stand when we pray to Jesus.

Yes.

Any divination is a sin.

Intentional or not. What do you think most sins are? Intentional?
